1. Moscow wants answers from US on Romania missile shield plan as US does what looks like a work-around

Moscow is waiting for clarification from the United States over its plans to deploy missile defense elements in Romania, the Russian foreign minister said Friday. Romanian President Traian Basescu said on Thursday his country had approved a U.S. plan to deploy interceptor missiles as part of a missile shield to protect Europe.

“We expect the United States to provide an exhaustive explanation, taking into account the fact that the Black Sea regime is regulated by the Montreux Convention,” Sergei Lavrov said. He said Russia acted on the assumption that “there is an agreement between the two presidents on the joint study of common threats, with the participation of the European Union.” “When we understand that we have a common understanding of possible threats, it will be possible to say what measures could be taken in response,” the minister said.

A U.S. State Department official said the facilities were due to become operational by 2015 and were aimed at defending against “current and emerging ballistic missile threats from Iran.” U.S. President Barack Obama scrapped plans last year for Poland and the Czech Republic to host missile shield elements to counter possible strikes from Iran. The plans had infuriated Russia.

Washington then announced a new scheme for a more flexible system, with a combination of land- and sea-based interceptors, to be deployed in Central Europe by 2015. U.S. Vice-President Joseph Biden visited Romania, Poland, and the Czech Republic last October to promote the new missile shield plan. Warsaw and Prague have already expressed their support for the revamped U.S. strategy.

2. US determined to park missiles as close to Russia as possible

Russia is very close. There are about 500 kilometers between Romania and Russia’s major naval base in Sevastopol. Russia’s southern areas are close too. Even if the missile base is not going to be a threat to Russia, as the Romanian president said, Russia is not thrilled about such a neighborhood.

Romania was prepared to provide its territory for the missile defense system several years ago. In 2005, Romania was mentioned as a location for CIA’s secret prisons. President Basescu did not feel shy to call the United States Romania’s main strategic partner.

One has to give Basescu credit for his determination as a politician. Romania became a member of the European Union in 2007 despite such deviations from the rules as an extremely low living standard.

The deployment of US military objects in Romania will not improve security in the region, but US and Romanian officials do not seem to care much about it.

3. Saakashvili attacked on all fronts

The authorities’ opponents say that Saakashvili is losing not only Europe’s support but the support of the blessed West as well. First, there appeared information about the Georgian president being abandoned by his American advisor Daniel Kunin. The press service, however, denied the fact. As was stated by Press Speaker Manana Mandzhgaladze, the information does not quadrate to facts. For instance, one of these days, the All News Georgian edition has published an article titled: “Saakashvili may be seriously concerned about his political future”.

The newspaper pays attention to the fact that the general attitude of the most foreign media towards the Georgian president who had been treated as a golden boy in Washington has switched to negative. “There are many articles saying that Georgia has got an image of an unstable country because of Saakashvili’s policy, which prevents the inflow of considerable investments to Georgia”, - the periodical reports.

The foreign friends seemed to forget to invite the Caucasian democrat to the Munich conference on safety policy that will be held on February 5-7. The oppositional Georgian media noticed mockingly that this fact confirmed Mikhail Nikolaevitch being in disfavor of his friends and partners. The press service asserts that he does not come to Munich because of being too busy. The official authorities did not make any comments as to the fact that leader of the oppositional Alliance for Georgia Irakliy Alasania has been officially invited to Munich to represent Georgia this year.

Meanwhile, Mr Kunin has been working hard to keep himself below the radar. This is his first interview. One of the reasons for this secrecy may be that until March this year he was being paid by USAID (the US government’s development arm). Mr Kunin insists that he was a consultant paid by the US, not an employee - and therefore not beholden in any way - but as the calls on his mobile phone suggest, clearly this is the man that provides the link with America.

If Mr Saakashivili is winning the propaganda war against the Kremlin, Daniel Kunin is his general, tutoring him on his press appearances, advising on strategy and trying to spin the criticism that the Georgian administration is receiving of both breath-taking naivety and recklessness in baiting the bear of Russia. But did the confidence in his pro-West PR campaign create so much confidence that it caused Mr Saakashvili to over-reach himself, over-estimating the support he would get from the West, and thus causing his downfall?

“It wasn’t a case of over-estimating ourselves, but a case of under-estimating Russia,” he says. “There is a tendency to blame victim. Saying that it was Saakashvili’s gamble is a convenient way of ducking the issues, and not accepting responsibility for what they have to do.”

So is there any advice he regrets having given? “None at all,” says Mr. Kunin unrepentantly.

4. India breaks the ice, calls Pak for talks. the game seems to have changed a bit.

New Delhi In an incremental step aimed at restoring some official-level conversation on terrorism and a range of issues affecting bilateral ties, India has invited the Pakistan Foreign Secretary for talks to New Delhi.

While modalities will be worked out after a response from Islamabad, sources said the Indian side was hoping for a meeting this month.

In Islamabad, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said there were signals emanating from India that it was willing to hold bilateral talks….Sources said the government is moving cautiously this time given the political backlash after the Sharm-el-Sheikh joint statement which sought to delink the dialogue process from terrorism directed at India from Pakistan soil. This time the government is keen to make the point that the core focus at the talks will be on cross-border terrorism. At the same time, the discussions will look at other “peace and stability” issues….This dialogue also has a bearing on larger issues related to developments in the broader AfPak region. With its overtures drawing no answer from New Delhi, Islamabad had begun to take a more combative approach against involving India in any regional discussion on the future of Afghanistan. It was at Pakistan’s instance that India was not involved in the Turkey-sponsored regional meeting. The US too has been indicating to India that starting a conversation was better than having no interaction at all.

5. more regime change efforts

CARACAS (Venezuela) - VENEZUELA accused the United States on Thursday of portraying President Hugo Chavez’s government as thuggish in an effort to entice the opposition to try to topple the socialist leader.

Venezuela’s ambassador in Washington, Bernardo Alvarez, took issue with an intelligence report presented to US senators earlier this week that described Mr Chavez as an autocratic leader who uses repression to stifle dissent.

In a letter sent to the Senate Intelligence Committee’s chairman, Senator Dianne Feinstein, Mr Alvarez rebuked the findings of the report, saying it ‘is full of politically motivated and cynical accusations’. Mr Alvarez called it part of a US campaign ‘to criminalise our government and encourage groups within Venezuela’s opposition to seek anti-democratic paths to take power’.

US officials have repeatedly denied they would support any attempt to unseat Mr Chavez through anti-democratic means, and Venezuela’s opposition leaders insist they want to remove the former paratrooper at the polls.

Mr Chavez vehemently rejects allegations that his government has sought to silence criticism, including using trumped up criminal charges to imprison or intimidate outspoken political adversaries. — AP

6. Dora Akunyili, Nigerian Information Minister, tells fellow ministers to stop lying about Yar’Adua

The cabinet must stop lying to Nigerians about President Yar’Adua’s illness and face up to the reality that he is no longer able to perform his duties; information minister Dora Akunyili bluntly admonished fellow ministers yesterday.

At the regular weekly meeting of the Executive Council of the Federation, Mrs Akunyili stunned her colleagues by presenting a memo in which she challenged them to tell Nigerians the truth about the president’s health and stop deceiving the people.

According to our sources, Mrs Akunyili had wanted to submit the memo through the cabinet office but was worried that the office might sit on the memo so she took it to the Council meeting to distribute.

NEXT however learnt that as soon as she began to do that, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation stood up to challenge her. He said what she was doing was irregular and she should have passed it through the cabinet office. Both the Minister of Water Resources, Ruma Sayyadi and his colleague in charge of transportation Diezani Allison-Madueke also supported Mr. Aondoakaa that she should follow procedures.

At this point, a perplexed Akunyili looked up to the Vice President for support but Mr. Jonathan told her to withdraw the memo and pass it through the requisite channels. With no support from her colleagues, Mrs Akunyili left the meeting and Mr. Yayale went around collecting all copies of the memo. Inevitably, the meeting which ended in less than two hours, discussed only one memo before it dispersed, without considering even the customary approval of contracts.

In a surprising twist, many of the ministers went to meet her and praised her candour after the meeting.

1. the PROBLEM of US hegemony and abuse of the internet … definitely a problem. BUT what should be done about this problem??

Concerns about the US monopoly of the domain name server (DNS) system grew among other nations as much as their reliance on the Internet for issues ranging from politics and the economy to defense and the general society. Years ago, there was a proposal that the Internet be administered by the United Nations or under international cooperation. The European Union insisted that the World Wide Web is an international resource that should be jointly managed by all nations. Some developing countries pointed out that at the early stage of Internet development, developed countries seized large amounts of domain names, leaving a limited few for them, and demanded a share with the US over Internet administration. American officials opposed the suggestion.

…US Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Twitter and other social networking sites are “strategic assets of great importance” because “these new technologies make it harder for the ‘dictator regimes’ to control information”. A former intelligence official said the channeling of US ideology via the Internet is much easier than sending spies to target countries or training local agents in target countries who identify with US ideology. The move the US government made in June 2009 — when it dissented over the Chinese government’s order to install the filtering software Green Dam and pressured China’s government for interfering in the freedom on the ‘Net and the freedom of information flow — is probably related to its intention to infiltrate China.

According to a Hong Kong media agency, the CIA invests tens of millions of US dollars every year to aid “Chinese net traitors” to infiltrate Chinese net users with US ideology. They haunt major Chinese forums and portals. A website called “Wazhe Online” (Chinese Pinyin) is a secret mission with the cooperation of US government institutions and overseas “Tibetan splittist organizations” with the tasks of agitating, deluding, infiltrating and instigating Chinese net users, making up rumors to initiate riots and collecting information via the Internet. A Tibetan youth who once worked with one organization said it is an online spy agency which is supported by the US financially, controlled by the Americans and serves the Americans. A commentary on Hong Kong-based Ta Kung Pao said those who publish stories sensitive to China’s policies on the net have complex backgrounds and are hired by US and Japanese spy agencies.

WASHINGTON - UNITED States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton yesterday called for global condemnation for those who carry out cyber attacks, as China sought to contain tension with the United States over online censorship and hacking.

In what was flagged as a major policy speech on Internet freedom, she said: ‘Countries or individuals that engage in cyber attacks should face consequences and international condemnation. In an interconnected world, an attack on one nation’s networks can be an attack on all.’…The Internet has already been a source of tremendous progress in China, and it’s great that so many people there are now online,’ she said. ‘But countries that restrict free access to information or violate the basic rights of Internet users risk walling themselves off from the progress of the next century.’

4. google’s deep CIA connections

Google is, in fact, is a key participant in U.S. military and CIA intelligence operations involving torture; subversion of foreign governments; illegal wars of aggression; and military occupations of countries which have never attacked the U.S. and which have cost hundreds of thousands of lives in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, and elsewhere.

To begin with, Google is the supplier of the core search technology for ‘Intellipedia, a highly-secured online system where 37,000 U.S. spies and related personnel share information and collaborate on their devious errands.

Agencies such as the so-called ‘National Security Agency’ have also purchased servers using Google-supplied search technology which processes information gathered by U.S. spies operating all over the planet.

In addition, Google is linked to the U.S. spy and military systems through its Google Earth software venture. The technology behind this software was originally developed by Keyhole Inc., a company funded by Q-Tel http://www.iqt.org/ , a venture capital firm which is in turn openly funded and operated on behalf of the CIA.

Ross added that the United States and China “have had conversations over the years where we’ve made clear our opinions both about the freedom of expression as well as cybersecurity. “So we’re taking this very seriously,” he said. “But all of that said, the State Department is not the foreign policy arm of Google,” he said.

This particular legislative language is based on longstanding statutory authorities for wartime use of communications networks.

OK that seems pretty clear that the president can secure (control) the national infrastructure from attack as part of the national response to a severe attack or natural disaster based on statutory authorities for wartime use of communication networks. Right?

WRONG! THAT’S NOT WHAT IT SAYS CAN’T YOU READ?????

To be very clear, the Rockefeller-Snowe bill will not empower a “government shutdown or takeover of the Internet” and any suggestion otherwise is misleading and false.

Oh wow, that’s so confusing. The statement says one thing, and then it says the complete opposite! Yes you will allow the president to secure the private infrastructure based on the Rockefeller-Snowe bill based on longstanding statutory authorities for wartime use of communications networks, but no you will not suggest that the Rockefeller-Snowe bill empowered the president to shutdown or take over the internet. That would make you a LIAR.

So here’s the instruction: “Securing the private infrastructure based on longstanding statutory authorities for wartime use of communications networks” IS NOT “shutting down or taking over the internet.”

YES IT IS.
NO IT’S NOT.
YES IT IS.

Mind-fucking.

The purpose of this language is to clarify how the president directs the public-private response to a crisis, secure our economy and safeguard our financial networks, protect the American people, their privacy and civil liberties, and coordinate the government’s response.

All this spin so artfully applied does not change reality.

Several hundred Jewish leaders from around the country will spill into Washington on Thursday for a “national leadership advocacy day on Iran” that many hope will spark a genuine grass-roots movement akin to the Soviet Jewry movement of the 1980s.

Spill into Washington….. like milk and honey.

National leadership advocacy day on Iran…. we should all follow our wise Jewish leaders.

Hope…spark…genuine grass roots movement…. it’s all good, isn’t it?

And while one ostensible goal of the fly-in is to press for new sanctions legislation pending in Congress, there is a broader, unspoken purpose: to ensure strong official U.S. support if Israel feels compelled to use military force to damage Iran’s nuclear program.

Aha. So the “ostensible” goal is to press for sanctions, but the real reason, the unspoken purpose (which even though it remains unspoken can be written about because there’s no shame in it whatsoever but then again it’s good to try to at least *look* reasonable) is to make sure that elected leaders of the American people fall right in line “if Israel feels compelled to use military force to damage Iran’s nuclear program.”

Israel’s glass feelings…so very fragile. So easily scratched or shattered. So precious. Israel cannot be expected to behave like a mature member of the international community, subject to rigorous rules of logic and reason, expected to compromise and negotiate in good faith. No. Israel is special, more special than anyone else as we are constantly reminded. Chosen. And so if Israel has any uncomfortable feelings, we must cater to and indulge them lest we incur the wrath of “God,” and if some number of people have to die — whether they be Palestinians or Lebanese, Iraqis or Afghanis, Russians or Syrians or Iranians or Europeans or Africans or Americans, innocent or not, anyone may be called — to assuage Israel’s feelings, then we all have a duty, apparently, to overlook such unfortunate sacrifices and provide strong support and comfort to our best friend in her endless hour of need and persecution. And all these smiling Jewish people have spilled into Washington to helpfully remind our brave elected leaders of same.

Beneath the surface, this week’s action is “designed to impress upon people in Washington that somebody has to deal with the problem — and that all the moves up until this point have clearly not addressed the problem in a satisfactory way,” said Shoshana Bryen, senior director for security policy at the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA). “The Jews aren’t coming here to ask the administration to bomb Iran, but I also don’t think they’re coming here specifically asking for sanctions, either, because we know sanctions haven’t worked. What we’re left with is that they’re preparing the ground so that no matter what happens, nobody can say they weren’t warned.”

So we should be grateful that “the Jews” give us fair warning that they *will* rope us into another war, if they feel like it. And by the way we had better not complain, having been graciously warned in advance.

Can’t you see they have NO CHOICE?!

“As a community, we are taking an overall approach,” said Mark Levin, executive director of NCSJ, a group focused on Eastern European human rights. Levin is coordinating the Washington event. “Sanctions are one important mechanism. We recognize that there has to be greater support from other countries, but what is the alternative? To throw up our hands and say Iran will be a nuclear nation, with all that implies?”

With all that implies….

So, what *does* it imply, exactly?

Simply this: that Israel would no longer enjoy hegemony over the Middle East and by extension, the world. Iran threatens the balance of power. Or more accurately, the imbalance of power. In reality, Israel would prefer that the entire world balance uncomfortably, perilously, on the head of a pin for time immemorial rather than let power flow naturally among sovereign nations. That’s the real unspoken choice that they can’t face because it’s too horrible to contemplate, not being able to dictate and bully and commandeer the world’s resources at their capricious will. And in fact, there really is no choice. Israel and her smiling supporters do nothing but prolong the inevitable, for their ill-gotten power can not be sustained. Israel will go down.

The real choice facing the world is this: how many people will Israel be allowed to take down with them?

Deputy Prime Minister Dan Meridor said “the time is now” for Israel and the world to act to thwart Iran’s nuclear ambitions, after world powers on Friday accepted Iran’s response to their offer of talks on the issue.

“The time is now,” Meridor told Reuters in an interview published Saturday. “There is no more time to waste, and that’s not only the Israeli perspective, it’s much more general.”

…He said Iran is a “special case” for his country because Iranian leaders say Israel is illegitimate and should not exist, Iran is boosting its military capabilities and is involved in international terrorism. However, he added that, “One should not close one’s eyes, but we are in a way fortunate that this is not only Israel’s problem.”

The minister said Iran would reach bomb-making potential before “the distant future,” but noted this was not the key issue facing the world.

“The trend is clear, and if you want to be an owner of nuclear weapons or have the capability of being a nuclear power it changes the balance of power,” he told Reuters.

And we can’t have that. This is about changing the balance of power. Here you have it, right from the Deputy Prime Minister’s mouth. Israel will start a war to prevent this change in the balance of power. That is the nature of the “threat” for which they expect many people to die.

And this is why the Iran war drums begin beating in Washington, in a big hurry they are, in spite of the fact that:

In February, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Dennis Blair told Congress that Iran would be unable to produce highly enriched uranium (HEU) until at least 2013, and stated that there is “no evidence” that Iran had even made a decision to produce HEU.

…which just proves that this has nothing to do with Iran’s nuclear program.

First, a short story from some nice Catholic guy:

As the 9/11 attack was happening, it occurred to me that the attack had to do with what was happening in the Middle East and it was time to learn what was happening there. I was behooved to work through my conditioned barrier of not wanting to look into the matter because it was much too complex to understand and find out for myself what was going on.I learned that the Palestinians were being kicked off their land so that Jews from anywhere in the world could live there. I attended a Middle East committee meeting and said that I didn’t think this was fair, that it didn’t matter what happened in the past to the Jews, that two wrongs don’t make a right, etc. After that meeting, I was considered anti-Semitic by the experts that apply the label: the Jews that attended that meeting. Thereafter I was treated coolly by everyone associated with the parent anti-war organization. Word had gotten around.

Holy cow! I never would’ve imagined myself being considered anti-Semitic: [growing up] an altruistic Catholic boy who defended little kids every day on the playground from older bullies, the exemplary server boy, the choir boy, the kid that the nuns and teachers considered a role model for others.

But there I was. An anti-Semitic, for being concerned for justice and equal rights for the Palestinians. Little did I know that being labeled anti-Semitic was so easy. It is so easy. In fact here’s the formula: You become aware that Jews are responsible for doing something unfair, like kicking Palestinians off their land so that Jews from anywhere in the world can live there and, boom, you’re instantly anti-Semitic! You don’t even have to complain about it. The labelers just have to know you know about it. It is that easy.

And lest you think this can only happen to some regular guy with a regular job, who quickly goes from being Joe the Landscaper to that asshole anti-Semite at the bar, let me tell you this can happen to anyone! No family is immune from the scourge of thought crime. Just a few minutes on the internet and you can be lost forever to this merciless drug called Free Thought. Just Say NO, dammit!

According to World Jewish leaders, who are the self-appointed authorities on such matters, we are experiencing a world epidemic of thought crimes. This drug is destroying everything in its path. Though it’s not clear exactly who asked World Jewish leaders to fight the scourge of thought crimes, they have selflessly taken on the thankless job. For one of their first sorties in the War on Free Thought, it looks like they will make an example of that disgusting addict, Bishop Williamson, by executing his career and reputation. Hopefully this will deter others from his sad fate.

World Jewish leaders told Vatican officials that denying the Holocaust was “not an opinion but a crime” when they met on Monday to discuss a bishop they accuse of being anti-Semitic. The meetings, the first since the controversy over Bishop Richard Williamson, who denies the extent of the Holocaust, began last month, took place three days before Pope Benedict is due to address a group of American Jewish leaders.

Williamson told Swedish television in an interview broadcast in January: “I believe there were no gas chambers.” He said no more than 300,000 Jews perished in Nazi concentration camps, rather than the 6 million accepted by most historians

You see? Any deviation what-so-ever from the officially sanctioned Holocaust narrative is a thought crime. Bishop Richard Williamson’s mealy-mouthed excuse that he didn’t actually inhale does not cut the mustard. He’s an addict, and everybody knows it. He smoked the Thought Pipe.

“Today we strongly reaffirmed that the denial of the Shoah is not an opinion, but a crime,” said Richard Prasquier, president of the French Jewish umbrella organization CRIF, using the Hebrew word for Holocaust.

Such a disgrace.

Prasquier and Maram Stern, deputy secretary of the World Jewish Congress (WJC), held talks with Cardinal Walter Kasper, head of the Vatican office that handles religious relations with Jews.

“We want the Vatican to realize that by accommodating anti-Semites like Williamson, the achievements of four decades of Catholic-Jewish dialogue … will be put into doubt,” WJC President Ronald Lauder said in a statement.

And now Bishop Williamson has been transformed into an anti-Semite. Just like that. He has lost all respectability. Do you see that this one gentleman has single-handedly unraveled four decades of achievements with his foolish experimenting? This drug is very, very powerful. What a shame. He looked to have a promising career, but not anymore.

“We now believe that our message has been understood. The controversial debate of the past three weeks has had a positive impact,” said Lauder, who did not attend the meetings.

Catholic-Jewish relations have been extremely tense since January 24, when Benedict lifted excommunications of four renegade traditionalist bishops, including Williamson, in an attempt to heal a schism that began in 1988 when they were ordained without Vatican permission.

Among those who have condemned Williamson and the pope’s decision are Holocaust survivors, progressive Catholics, U.S. legislators, Israeli leaders, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and Jewish writer and Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel.

Here are the people who understand the dangers posed by this drug. Holocaust survivors. Progressive Catholics. US legislators. Israeli leaders. German Chancellor Angela Merkel. And Elie Wiesel. You won’t find these people in some Truth Crack House, conducting research on the interwebs like some filthy junkies.

A Church source said Israel’s Chief Rabbinate, which had pulled out of dialogue, has decided to resume talks and will come to the Vatican either in late February or mid-March.

The Vatican has ordered Williamson to publicly recant his position. Over the weekend, traditionalist leaders said he had been removed as head of a seminary in Argentina.

Germany’s Spiegel magazine on Saturday quoted Williamson as saying he first had to review historical evidence on the Holocaust before considering an apology to Jews.

“I ask everyone to believe me that I did not deliberately say something false. I was, on the basis of my research in the 1980s, convinced of the accuracy of my comments. Now I must examine everything again and look at the evidence,” he said.

Williamson failed in a bid on Monday to get an injunction from a German court on the broadcasting of his views on television and the internet.

“There are no valid infringements of his rights,” said the Nuremberg-Fuerth court in southern Germany.

Williamson is part of the ultra-traditionalist Society of St Pius X (SSPX), which does not accept all the teachings of the 1962-1965 Second Vatican Council. It repudiated the concept of collective Jewish guilt for Christ’s death and urged dialogue with other religions.

The Vatican has said the SSPX must accept all Council teachings before they can be fully re-admitted into the Church.

He got what he deserved. Let that be a lesson to you.

From the Editor’s Preface to Political Ponerology by Andrew Lobaczewski, p. 15-16.

Andrew Lobaczewski addresses the problem of the psychopath and their extremely significant contribution to our macrosocial evils, their ability to act as the eminence grise behind the very structure of our society. It is very important to keep in mind that this influence comes from a relatively small segment of humanity. The other 90-some percent of human beings are not psychopaths.

But that 90-some percent of normal people know that something is wrong! They just can’t quite identify it; can’t quite put their finger on it; and because they can’t they tend to think that there is nothing they can do about it, or maybe it is just God punishing people.

What is actually the case is that when that 90-some percent of human beings fall into a certain state, as Lobaczewski will describe, the psychopaths, like a virulent pathogen in a body, strike at the weaknesses, and the entire society is plunged into conditions that always and inevitably lead to horror and tragedy on a very large scale.

This process takes time, but we have reached The End Stage. If you’ve ever been related to or involved with a psychopath or narcissist, you will understand this: (Lobaczewski, p. 18)

One thing we do know is this: many people who experience interactions with psychopaths and narcissists report feeling “drained” and confused and often subsequently experience deteriorating health. Does this mean that part of the dynamic, part of the explanation for why psychopaths will pursue “love relationships” and “friendships” that ostensibly can result in no observable material gain, is because there is an actual energy consumption?

We do not know the answer to this question. We observe, we theorize, we speculate and hypothesize. But in the end, only the individual victim can determine what they have lost in the dynamic - and it is often far more than material goods. In a certain sense, it seems that psychopaths are soul eaters or “psychophagic”.

Spending time with one of these people is like having a quart of blood drained out of your arm. Similarly, people who follow current events closely experience waves of deep depression and hopelessness. If one looks at our country’s decline, especially over the past decade, does it not reflect the same dynamic? The common wealth has been drained, and poisons have been injected.

This psychopathic group in power has also been described as an Octopus.

The Assassination State: The “Octopus” Siezes Control of America:

In my March 2001 article I warned of an imminent assassination of a US senator. I explicitly warned that the wreckage of any Senatorial plane crashes MUST NOT fall into the hands of the intelligence agencies. The chilling reality is that the evidence needn’t go to the agency. In this Orwellian nightmare that America has become, the agency comes to the evidence - In the form of tentacular control of all the tendrils of the “Assassination State.“They are now vertically integrated into every facet of the assassination and oppression cycle. Now, the bodies go directly to coroners connected to this Octopus and the wreckage is promptly delivered to the highest air transportation investigation authority, also headed by another tentacle of the Octopus. It’s everywhere!

The Octopus has grown to enormous size. But just like the giant creatures dwelling in the Marianas Trench, these things cannot survive after being hauled to the surface. Sadly for the Octopus, it has been caught in the fisherman’s net.

(Now for the whole story on how that happened, the best advice I can give you is to print out the last few installments from Christopher Story and study them. This is literally like jumping into a soap opera that’s been running for ten years, but if he’s correct (God-willing), this is the most satisfying reading you might ever enjoy — like eating all the best Halloween candy and not feeling sick or gaining an ounce. If he’s wrong, you can go back to being totally depressed.)

In particular, note the reference to the Colin Powell remarks about the ‘crisis’ immediately after inauguration.

From Christopher Story’s installment on 10/26/08, titled The Corrupt Octopus has been severely wounded:

Mention by Colin Powell and several other big figures of ‘a crisis that the American people know nothing about occurring on 21st/22nd January’ immediately following the new American President’s Inauguration confirms (a) that the US élite are congratulating themselves for having covered up the endless corruption in high places from the general public through their control of the ‘mainstream media’ (Operation Mockingbird); and (b) that it is taken for granted that the new President will be obliged to trigger immediate action against the high-level perpetrators of these financial crimes: otherwise the new President will be personally implicated in these crimes.

I’ve read the other interpretations of Powell’s and Biden’s remarks, and I think they’re wrong. I think the ‘crisis,’ as Story explains, is that everything we’ve been told to believe will be turned upside-down, which is to say right-side up, and that will be extremely disorienting for many people who have become accustomed to living in upside-down world. To wit:

Bush 41 & 43 will be hauled up in the net.
Hillary and Bill will be hauled up in the net.
Israel will be hauled up in the net.
And many, many more…
The Octopus is being hauled up from the dark and briny deep. It will not survive the decompression or the exposure to the sunlight and air. When people get a load of how enormous this creature is, and how disgusting, and how many its tentacles, they will be amazed.

I see. And what wise ‘people’ are those, Sarah? The people who will pull off the voter fraud for you and John McCain?

WashPost Howard Kurtz, online this a.m.: “‘If the mainstream media are wrong about Obama and the voters pull a Truman, that is going to be the end of whatever shred of credibility they have left,’ says Tobe Berkovitz, associate dean of Boston University’s College of Communication.”

Oh, so it will be the voters who ‘pull a Truman,’ and destroy the credibility of the corporate — sorry, “mainstream” — media? I see.

OK. So this is the narrative backstory, apparently, as it looks to be shaping up:

We voters are like Wile E. Coyote. We bitch and piss and moan and beg and plead and call and write and beg and plead and pray to be delivered from GWB & Friends before they do us in completely. But we’re a little inept, and somebody has an amazing political machine and secret ability to hypnotize us. That would be John McCain. But we don’t know this, see? So, naturally, although we have made people around the world believe that we will elect Obama, and maybe we even believe it ourselves, at the very last minute, in the privacy of the voting booth, we shall en masse, you know, ‘pull a Truman’ — which is the same as making a huge, life-threatening mistake such as holding a giant magnet, for instance, which will attract all sorts of powerful crushing objects directly onto us, and in our wisdom, we will elect John McCain and Sarah Palin instead.

Mm hmm. So that’s what we’re gonna do. And then the corporate media will lose all credibility for not having predicted this. Up to now? Totally credible.

They’re everywhere. These shallow people, full of hubris, lacking in all humility and busting at the seams with smug self-righteousness. The people of the lie.

Let’s begin with Dick Cheney. We don’t usually hear too much about him, but lately he’s been quite visible. These must be his plans that are falling apart, and therefore he himself has been forced to come out of his lair and straighten it out. We all know that sense of utter frustration when you shove everyone out of the way to fix something yourself? I think that is what we are witnessing now. But it’s not working. Which countries have decided to oppose Russia in anything more than words? (crickets) The more Bush, Cheney and Rice open their mouths, the more foolish they look. The more they display their impotence. But do they shut up? Oh no. They are too proud for that. They keep pushing that rock uphill.

Then we have Israel and the Zionists. The myth currently known as Jewish history has been debunked by Jewish historians. Jews are no more special than anyone else. They are not ‘direct and exclusive descendants’ of the people who received the Torah in Sinai. There’s no justification for the Jews-only state of Israel. But no matter! We are all instructed to carry on as if this were fact, not myth, because a few people in Israel have a need to feel superior and justify their racism. And while many others surely know better, they don’t speak up because the charming myth sort of benefits them a little, so why rock the boat?

And speaking of group pride, what about those Republicans? They’re coming out of the woodwork like cockroaches now that Sarah Palin has come aboard. What is it about this woman? She’s so shallow. YES. She’s a racist. YES! She’s a Dominionist. YES!! She’s vindictive. YES!!! It’s all those things and more, don’t you see?? She embodies The Base. She is base. The Republicans held up a mirror to their base, and they see Sarah Palin reflected back at them: a whitewashed tomb, beautiful on the outside but full of everything unclean. They are proud of her because she is just like them. In their spite and vindictiveness, they want her in the White House just to prove a fucking point. What is the point? That they own this country and they’ll drive it into the ground come hell or high water, and you can’t stop it. That’s it. The driving animus behind these people is bitter rage.

Does the world ever need a hero right now. The desire is tangible. I carry it with me every minute of every day and night. Because I don’t know how we’re going to survive these wicked people. I have hopes for Vlad Putin, but he is just a man, after all. It’s not fair to expect him to solve a problem of this magnitude.

KUCINICH: You know, first of all, the American eagle needs two wings to fly. Don’t forget that. And, secondly, what I stand for is mainstream: health care for all, jobs for all, employment security. That’s what all Americans want.

O’REILLY: Yes, they want it, but you can’t — the only way to get all that is by implementing a socialistic system. And that’s what they don’t want, so that’s the…

If you want a secure job and health care, you’re a socialist. Actually, it’s probably ok to want these things for yourself, but if you start wanting it for other people, you’re a socialist. We’re pretty smart here in America, but socialism is the only way to give Americans secure jobs and health care. There’s just no other way to solve the conundrum, so pick one. See, we can’t have socialism, so we can’t solve these problems. Suck it up. Now, if you were a good, cut-throat red-blooded American like Bill O’Reilly, you’d be satisfied getting your own needs filled. Why do you have to such an asshole and care about what other people need? That’s your problem, you know.

KUCINICH: You know what, though? But in a country where the wealth is accelerating to the top because of our tax system, because of our health care system, because of our energy policies, I think the American people in this election are going to want to recognize we need to go in a new direction.

O’REILLY: It’s going to be — it’s going to be interesting, because most Americans don’t like socialism and they admire achievement. And they understand that guys like me pay an enormous amount of tax, enormous. Now, I don’t mind paying it, but if you’re going to take 50 percent, 60 percent, I’ll retire. You don’t want that.

A new direction means socialism, and we can’t have that. Bill already explained that. What are you, dense? Now, it’s important to remember that Bill is very very very selfless and doesn’t mind paying ‘enormous’ amounts of tax. Just enormous. But if we put any more weight on his sturdy, selfless shoulders, he. will. retire. Obviously, we don’t want that to happen. That would be a national tragedy, so suck it up. Stop thinking about yourself all the time, and start thinking about the sacrifices that people like Bill O’Reilly make for this country. This is your problem, you know? You never think of the poor rich people in America.

KUCINICH: Do you know that 1 out of every 3 health care dollars goes for the activities of the for-profit system, corporate profits, stock options, executive salary, advertising, marketing?

O’REILLY: That’s the free market place. You can’t control it.

Allright?? You cannot control the free market place. You just can’t do it. Does the sun rise in the east every morning? Eggsactly. And you cannot control the free market place. If you tried to exert any control over the free market place, that would be socialism, and as Bill has already explained like five times, we can’t have socialism in America. Why can’t you get this through your thick head?

O’REILLY: I like the fact that there should be a safety net for health care. I don’t want anybody to be out on the street.

KUCINICH: Bill, 50 million people are without health care.

O’REILLY: We can’t afford it.

We can’t control the free market place, and that’s why we can’t afford health care for all. What’s the matter with you, are you stupid? This is really straightforward. The money that would make health care affordable for another 50 million people has to go to corporate profits and CEO salaries. That’s the free market place, which you cannot control without killing America. It’s the price these people pay to live in a free market place kind of country. If you weren’t so selfish you’d recognize this and happily sacrifice your health for the USA.

KUCINICH: The truth is we shouldn’t have gone into Iraq.

O’REILLY: OK, but Iraq’s a different thing. We won that. We won that.

KUCINICH: Where’s the soft approach?

O’REILLY: You don’t want to confront Putin militarily in Georgia; you don’t want to confront Iran militarily. You don’t want to do all of that.

KUCINICH: Bill, why have a war if you don’t need it?

See, we won in Iraq. Already won that war. If you weren’t such a pussy, you’d see that we should go right over there and smash up the Russians and nuke Iran. War is good for America. People love war. It’s a blast. There’s nothing to worry about. We’ll kick their asses.

O’REILLY: Because the reason Bush did that was because he knew down the road Putin would invade somebody, which he has.

KUCINICH: No, excuse me. Georgia invaded South Ossetia.

O’REILLY: OK. All right, you know I love you. It’s great to have you on here. All right, I’m just wondering whether Obama loves you as much as I do.

In the past week we have all learned a few important things. Some of us have even been shocked.

1. Sy Hersh reveals that Cheney and friends met to discuss ways to trigger a war with Iran under false pretenses.

2. The anthrax story has got inside job stamped all over it.

3. New evidence emerges that the White House ordered a back-dated forged letter from the head of Iraqi intelligence to Saddam Hussein to portray a link between Hussein and al Qaeda.

The fact is these people lie to start wars. That’s what they do, and they have been caught.

At this point, we can actually set aside the monstrosity of 9/11. We can set aside every theory about why they lie to start wars, whether for money, power, Israel, the New World Order, or what have you. I mean, what difference does it really make? The 4,000+ American soldiers are still dead, as are the untold number of people killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. They all died because of lies. Not ‘mistakes.’ Not ‘misunderstandings.’ No. These are Lies. Premeditated, murderous Lies. That much we can ascertain. These are Conspiracy Facts.

So…it should be grimly amusing to listen to the Bush apologists this week, if you’re into that sort of thing. It would be interesting to know why exactly it’s OK to lie us into wars, or why these murderers should all be pardoned instead of sent to the Hague yesterday already, or why we should listen to one single thing out of their lying mouths about Iran or any other topic on God’s green earth.
