I’ve heard it said that prisoners establish a pecking order, and that child molesters and abusers reside at the bottom. The lowest of the low. Lower than whale shit, which is at the bottom of the ocean, to quote my father. Supposedly even prisoners enforce this moral code in their closed societies. Because it’s that bad. Sexually abusing children, torturing children, is the most loathsome crime, even amongst those who may hold a rather nuanced view of right and wrong.

Oh, sorry. Too much information? You’re in luck. Dave McGowan has already read it all, processed it, and organized it into The Pedophocracy.

Of course, he wrote it about ten years ago, so we have to extrapolate, somehow, the litany of abuses which have transpired since.

He begins with Marc Dutroux, and the expansive number of people involved with the associated cover-up in Belgium.

Outrage continued to grow as more arrests were made and evidence of high-level government and police complicity continued to emerge. One of Dutroux’s accomplices, businessman Jean-Michel Nihoul, confessed to organizing an ‘orgy’ at a Belgian chateau that had been attended by government officials, a former European Commissioner, and a number of law enforcement officers. A Belgian senator would note, quite accurately, that such parties were part of a system “which operates to this day and is used to blackmail the highly placed people who take part.” …

On October 20, 350,000 citizens of the tiny nation took to the streets of Brussels dressed all in white, demanding the reform of a system so corrupt that it would protect the abusers, rapists, torturers, and killers of children. The political fallout from the case would ultimately bring about the resignation of Belgium’s State Police Chief, Interior Minister, and Justice Minister – likely sacrificial lambs tossed to the outraged masses to avoid what could easily have exploded into a full-scale insurrection by the people, particularly after police ‘incompetence’ allowed Dutroux to escape and remain at large for a brief time in April of 1998.

There were in fact calls from the people for the entire coalition government to step down. Months later, an opinion survey by Brussels’ Le Soir newspaper found that only one-in-five Belgians still had confidence in the federal government and the nation’s justice system. As the Los Angeles Times reported in January of 1998, “the conviction remains stubbornly widespread that members of the upper crust - government ministers, the Roman Catholic Church, the court of King Albert II - belonged to child sex rings, or protected them.”

The lingering distrust of the people was not alleviated by the fact that a parliamentary inquiry had, in April of 1997, identified thirty officials who had, as the Times tactfully put it, “failed to uncover Dutroux’s misdeeds.” Nearly a year later, none of them had yet suffered any repercussions. Additionally, at least ten missing children suspected of having fallen prey to Dutroux’s operation have never been found.

That’s just one case, one country. McGowan touches upon many other networks.

The BBC reported in June of 1999 that two unnamed German men had “gone on trial, accused of running a child pornography ring in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.” The pair, along with at least eleven identified but unindicted accomplices, “made video recordings of the gang sexually abusing children between the ages of three and 14 since 1993.”
…The BBC also filed a brief report on a 1996 case that went almost completely unreported in the English language press: “Mexican police broke up an international child pornography ring based in the resort of Acapulco which they said had at least four thousand clients in the United States,” (emphasis added). A UN envoy investigating the case said that the “child pornography sometimes involved babies of less than one month old.”

On September 29 of 2000, The Irish Times reported that: “Eight people were arrested in Italy and three in Russia, and police said 1,700 people were being investigated in Italy,” as yet another pedophile network surfaced. The images traded by this ring were “divided into several categories … The most gruesome, police said, was coded ‘Necros Pedo,’ in which children were raped and tortured to death.”

And so it is that we first confront that most disturbing of topics – snuff films, which we all know don’t really exist. As recently as February of 1999, the New York Post assured readers that: “Snuff films are the stuff of urban legend … how did this legend get started? No one knows.” The unfortunate truth though is that they do, as it turns out, actually exist, and they likely have existed for as long as film has existed, though they weren’t always known by that name.

Code names. Of course they use codes. Note the rampant use of satanic symbolism throughout our culture, in music on teevee in corporate logos…. everywhere. Haven’t people with hidden agendas always used codes to communicate? Americans slaves used codes in their music to escape through the Underground Railroad. Low tech. It’s an old technique. Hide things in plain sight. That way you always retain plausible deniability.

An account of the Italian case carried by the Guardian affirmed the existence of snuff films: “police have discovered a massive international paedophile network selling violent child-pornography videos to clients in Italy, the US and Germany … (authorities are) trying to identify 5,000 people who are suspected of attempting to purchase the videos, some of which appear to contain images of children being tortured and murdered.”

The UK’s Independent, in a follow-up published in November of 2000, also confirmed that the seized materials did in fact include child snuff films: “Horrified investigators gathered images of more than 2,000 children who were filmed while being abused, raped, and … killed.” By that time, close to 1,500 people had been charged in the case, but not - as the Guardian noted - “those in high places who are believed to form a ‘paedophile lobby.’”

As in the Belgian and Latvian cases, there were clear indications of high-level complicity and a strong belief among the Italian people that the facts of the case were being covered up. And as with the other cases, the magistrate heading up the inquiry “provoked a furore by denouncing a ‘paedophile lobby’ supported by politicians which he said openly obstructed the investigators and worked to prevent tougher sanctions for the consumers of child pornography,” according to the Independent.

…In 1998, another large-scale international ring was discovered operating out of the Netherlands and Berlin, Germany. The New York Times reported that investigators called the case “nauseating,” in that “images of abuse of even babies and infants were peddled via the Internet and other media.” Police discovered “voluminous records of what appear to be clients and suppliers from countries including Israel, Ukraine, Britain, Russia and the United States.”

The ring was first uncovered when a key member was found dead in Italy. According to The Irish Times, he was murdered by another member of the ring. His apartment in the Dutch town of Zandvoort was found to contain “thousands of digital images stored on computer disks,” as well as “hundreds of addresses of suspected suppliers and clients,” according to the New York Times. The images shocked even veteran sex-crimes investigators, one of whom stated that the seized evidence “left [him] speechless … It looks like the perpetrators are not dealing with human beings but with objects.”

It goes on and on and on and on. You can’t even begin to comprehend how enormous this problem is until you read The Pedophocracy. It defies executive summary, except to declare that the most loathsome, despicable criminals on earth apparently have unlimited power to cover up their crimes. It’s not just that they implement diabolical strategies of hegemony, endless war, financial destruction, depopulation and mind-control, which they do. But they also participate in and/or cover-up organized rings for pedophilia, child pornography, human trafficking, organ trafficking, etc.

Those conspiracy theorists…

You see, this is why people stick with trusted news sources, like ABC news. ABC news brings this disturbing report that some Haitian children have gone missing from hospitals. UNICEF suspects these children may have been fed into an international trafficking ring.

United Nations officials say children have gone missing from hospitals in Haiti since the devastating January 12 earthquake, raising fears of trafficking for adoption abroad. “We have documented around 15 cases of children disappearing from hospitals and not with their own family at the time,” said UNICEF adviser Jean Luc Legrand. “UNICEF has been working in Haiti for many years and we knew the problem with the trade of children in Haiti that existed already beforehand.

“Unfortunately, many of these trade networks have links with the international adoption market.”

An ADOPTION ring! That’s right. Orphaned children might be smuggled out of desperate, ravaged Haiti to be given loving homes with white people. Of course that doesn’t quite explain why the children disappear from hospitals, does it.

Here’s the little faux-outrage politically correct bullshit argument that I’m sure somebody somewhere will go running with: This is outrageous. Surely in every single instance, the people must have only the purest of intentions. But that does not mean they can take these poor children away without following the legal procedures. Even if they only want to save them.

And here is the matching argument for the other foot: This is outrageous. Why should these children be left to die for lack of care and good homes when wonderful people can take them out of that hell right now and give them wonderful homes? Leave these good people alone they are only trying to help.

That controversy oughta keep a few people busy for a while…

The agency said it had warned countries during the past week not to step up adoptions from Haiti in the immediate wake of the quake. However several are fast-tracking adoption procedures already under way, including Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and the United States. Mr Legrand said the situation was similar to the aftermath of the tsunami in Asia five years ago.

Trafficking networks were springing into action immediately after the disaster and taking advantage of the weakness of local authorities and relief coordination “to kidnap children and get them out of the country”. Rupert Colville, a spokesman for the office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, said child enslavement and trafficking in Haiti was “an existing problem and could easily emerge as a serious issue over the coming weeks and months”.

The UN mission in Haiti has stepped up surveillance of roads, UNICEF officials said. Mr Legrand said there was separate but only anecdotal evidence of people taking children by road to the neighbouring Dominican Republic and loading children on to planes. “We have seen over the past years many children being taken out of the country without any legal procedure,” he said. “This is going on. This is happening now. We are starting to have the first evidence of that, this is unquestionable.”

He was unable to give details on the 15 missing children or their condition or clearly connect the anecdotal observations in Haiti’s chaos with trafficking.

The cases were documented by social workers and by partner non-governmental organisations working for UNICEF in hospitals.

Do you see that trafficking networks are….well….good? Or at least not all bad? They spring into action immediately and take advantage of the weakness of local authorities to kidnap children and get them out of the country. See? It’s “nuanced.”

But of course, we can take our sharp little stick and poke around that trafficking idea and ask some more pertinent questions, like: what other rings might be operating in the chaos in Haiti — aside from the fairy tale adoption rings of people who only ever have the best intentions?

Sex trafficking? Human slaves? Organ trafficking? You know, it’s kind of funny that Mr. Legrand would say: “This is going on. This is happening now. We are starting to have the first evidence of that, this is unquestionable.”

Because, to be honest, the authorities have known about these problems for years.

And they also know about the international pedophile rings.

And that doesn’t even begin to touch upon the organ trafficking angle.

But ABC News doesn’t do conspiracy theories.

and so it would be very rude of me indeed to cast an aspersion on this whole haiti roadside hospital narrative and ask just how the sam hill did the israelis, out of all the people in the world who have converged on the little island, how exactly did the israelis manage to get their hospital equipment set up? i thought there were some bottlenecks but i guess they have connections. lucky huh? and what exactly do they do in the mash field hospital with all the little orphaned children? does anyone oversee anything going on or would that be rude? would that insinuate that maybe, you know, given the circumstances of the israeli organ stealing that has happened in the past with disadvantaged populations that maybe our israeli bestest friends could use some chaperones around the destitute orphans of haiti, lest their little kidneys go missing?

January 2010: UN allocates 100 MILLION dollars to respond to 14 neglected crises

UNITED NATIONS, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) — The United Nations has allocated some 100 million U.S. dollars to respond to 14 ongoing but underfunded emergencies, ranging from Afghanistan to Yemen, the world organization announced Monday.

The single largest allocation of some 17 million dollars from the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) went to UN agencies and their partners in Ethiopia. The Democratic Republic of the Congo ( DRC) came second with approximately 16 million dollars.

Other recipient countries include Afghanistan, Kenya, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Yemen, Chad, Niger, Colombia, Eritrea, the Philippines and Haiti. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) noted in a news release that Haiti’s full funding needs are being re-evaluated in light of the tragic earthquake that struck the country last Tuesday.

Launched in March 2006, CERF is managed by OCHA and aims to speed up relief operations for humanitarian emergencies and make funds available quickly after a disaster, when people are most at risk.

Nine banks that received government aid money paid out bonuses of nearly $33 billion [conspiracy math fact: 1 billion = 1,000 million - ed.] last year — including more than $1 million apiece to nearly 5,000 employees — despite huge losses that plunged the U.S. into economic turmoil….The nine firms in the report had combined 2008 losses of nearly $100 billion. …Citigroup — which received about 25% of the aid going to the nine banks — has the No. 1 pay recipient. Andrew Hall, who heads Citigroup’s energy-trading unit Phibro LLC, received $98.9 million in 2008, according to a government official. Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit, by comparison, received more than $38 million last year.An early test for Mr. Feinberg will be the pay of Mr. Hall, whose profit-sharing contract with the bank could again entitle him to as much as $100 million, say people familiar with the matter.

thoughts on the resistance

In order for the resistance to work, we need to know individually and as a whole what we’re resisting. The large outlines are pretty clear: world government, financial slavery, martial law, a medical police state. This is about maintaining sovereignty. Sovereignty over our country, sovereignty over our states, sovereignty over cities and towns, sovereignty over our families. Sovereignty over our bodies and our minds.

Sometimes the resistance will require that you do something, and other times it will require that you not do something. It depends what the evil force is doing. An effective resistance implies doing the opposite of whatever the evil force is trying to get you to do. If they want you to stop doing something, you don’t stop. If they want you to start doing something, you don’t start. You simply have to figure out what they want and do the opposite.

In essence, TPTB want to remove all sovereignty. They want total control. At best, they want you to be a slave. But they don’t say that of course, that would tip you off. So instead they weave a narrative. In this narrative they are simply adding a layer on top of the existing structures, which of course will remain with only slight changes not to worry, and this supra-national layer of cooperation will facilitate solving all sorts of seemingly intractable problems that we hear so much about: wars, the environment, the financial crisis, world hunger, terrorism, etc. They helpfully explain that if we only cooperated just a little more, we can solve these problems. Yes we can. You may not realize or even believe that you will cede sovereignty for this to work, but actually, that is the whole point of the exercise. Of course they don’t explain that. You would never agree to it, as they know perfectly well! Thus the lies of omission. Lies of comission. Many, many lies.

The evil works from the top down, from the outside in. The resistance works from the bottom up, from the inside out. It starts in your mind. It starts in you when you reclaim sovereignty over your own thoughts. If there’s one thing the resistance needs, it is for people to think. Thinking is creative. The resistance begins in your mind, in the sovereignty of your mind. If you’re not free there, you will never be free. And if you are free in your own mind, the rest will follow.

Free people have dignity. Dignity means that you don’t sit around waiting for people to do things for you if you can do them yourself. You are free to take care of yourself. Little babies wear diapers and we have to change them. Little toddlers learn to use the toilet and for a while we have to help them. Eventually they can do it all by themselves and everyone is happy. It’s a basic level of dignity. Hold onto your freedom. Hold onto your dignity. Don’t give them away because you’ll enjoy that about as much as having to call someone in to wipe your own ass for you.

It is my belief that God very much wants us to do some very basic things for ourselves at this moment in time. Just as a parent who *knows* his child is capable of managing things in the bathroom might say, “Please don’t make me come in there, you can handle it. Do the best you can.” So perhaps might God have the same attitude with us right now. Yes it’s messy. We can handle it. We can always take a shower after. Thank you God for making human beings completely washable. Even if he decides to come in, the most he might do is start running the hot water for us. That would be ok. That means we can take a nice shower soon.

God created us. He created us in his image. Thus we can create. Human beings are creative. The resistance is creative. The resistance is how God works through human beings to protect his own creation.

Some people never seem to create anything but always want to destroy things. You can tell if they lie, if they say anything that seems convenient and don’t seem to even realize they’re doing it. You can tell if they don’t seem to have any personal integrity, anything inside that helps them resist doing whatever they feel like at any given moment. These sorts of people will not be part of the resistance. Don’t waste your time with them. The resistance is a creative force, not a destructive force. The bare threshold requirement is that people have some ability to think their own thoughts and display some personal integrity.

The resistance also needs everyone to think because the evil force uses trickery, and in particular they use trickery to get people to REact. A sovereign action, a sovereign decision, is not the same as a reaction. When you decide to take your car out for a drive, that is a sovereign decision. When you swerve to avoid hitting a deer, that is a reaction. The evil force will try to elicit reactions that they can then use to justify what they have long planned. That is why we all need to be able to think, so that we can properly assess when we might be walking into a trap.

Sometimes you will need to do something, and sometimes you will need to do nothing. There’s no manual. This will be a creative process. That is why it will work.

Under the auspices of a program run by the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), network TV shows will be used to promote “service and volunteerism” on behalf of the public as part of a “week-long of television programming on all four leading broadcast networks ­ ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and all affiliated broadcast and cable properties as well, and other networks, beginning October 19.”

Despite the fact that this was announced back in September, a new investigation by John Nolte has revealed all kinds of surreptitious connections that give a solid indication of what we can expect to be promoted by the TV shows that will effectively be under government control from Monday onwards.

Hokay! Well, if you watch teevee (and I don’t), and you think people like me and Jim are crazy conspiracy theorists, here’s the challenge:

Watch some of these shows with this information in mind, and ask yourself honestly: Are they trying to control what you think?

In the documentary, “Demographic Bomb,” the Director of the UN Population Division, Hania Zlotnick admits the UN got women in developing countries to sterilize themselves by having TV stars do it in soap operas.

In developed countries, the Illuminati bankers have achieved the same goal in similar fashion by pushing promiscuity and homosexuality in the mass media.

In a famous 1969 memo, Rockefeller-sponsored Planned Parenthood VP Frederick Jaffe proposed the following measures to reduce U.S. fertility: (a) encourage increased homosexuality,(b) fertility control agents in water supply, (c) encourage women to work, (d) abortion and sterilization on demand, and (e) make contraception truly available and accessible to all.

The mass media is the mental “water supply.” It defines “norms” (acceptable behavior) and therefore reshapes behavior. You can’t watch television without seeing aggressive career women showing up men and engaging in promiscuous sex, often with each other. Homosexuality is treated as normal, the “cool” and “edgy” thing. The Illuminati have moved the goalposts, and created a new bogus reality. They have decreased the birth rate in the United States as surely as in Bangladesh.

An illustration of how tightly controlled the TV plot-lines are: This week, 90 television shows are promoting “volunteerism” in their stories. They don’t tell you what else they have promoting over the years, but it’s plain to see: racism, i.e. the disappearance of race through interracial marriages; disappearance of religion and family (feminism); and the fore mentioned promiscuity and homosexuality. This agenda is mirrored in the school system.

As a Catholic, I am accustomed to Catholic bashing. If you can’t stand a little Catholic bashing, you might as well not be a Catholic. It comes with the territory. None of which is to get into the myriad reasons for Catholic bashing, many of which are legitimate. But, you know, when people bash the Catholic Church–and Catholics do it all the time–I don’t usually take it personally. But one cannot help notice that Catholic bashing is quite popular. One wrong move and….WHACK!

Jewish leaders condemn Pope over Holocaust bishop

Leading members of Britain’s Jewish community have joined in condemnation of the Pope’s decision to lift the excommunication on a bishop who denies the Holocaust at the same time as the nation commemorates the six million Jews murdered in the Nazi death camps.

Pope Benedict XVI on Saturday, in the middle of the Jewish Sabbath, lifted the excommunications on four bishops of the traditionalist Society of St Pius X, including the English Old Wykehamist Bishop Richard Williamson.

In an interview broadcast on Swedish television last week, Bishop Williamson said: “There were no gas chambers.” He also stated that he did not believe six million had died, and the number was between 200,000 and 300,000. In the past, he has endorsed the anti-Semitic forgery The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

The lifting of the excommunications could not have come at a more sensitive time for British Jewry, already facing an unprecedented increase in anti-Semitic attacks as a result of Israel’s action in Gaza.

Look at the Pope, making decisions affecting Catholic bishops in the middle of the Jewish Sabbath???? What was he thinking????? This is a sensitive time for British Jewry, coming on the heals of Israel’s vicious attacks on the Palestinians. And shouldn’t the Pope be thinking about British Jewry at all times? Clearly, the Pope has No Business conducting Catholic business at a sensitive time for British Jewry. Actually, it’s pretty much always a sensitive time for somebody somewhere, so why don’t we just skip any and all decisions that might upset some people someplace at any time ever. That makes more sense.

Dr Ed Kessler, of the Centre for the Study of Jewish Christian Relations at the Woolf Institute in Cambridge, said: “In the 20 odd years that I have been teaching Jewish-Christian relations I never thought I would witness a time when in the name of Christian unity, a German-bred Pope would bring back into the fold a Holocaust-denier. It is absolutely astonishing. While it is an internal decision for the Roman Catholic Church it has huge consequences, not just in terms of relations with Jews but also other faiths and ecumenical relations. It is a very very sad day for Catholic-Jewish relations.” [filling many tissues]

Dr Kessler said he doubted the Pope’s planned trip to Israel would now go ahead but warned that if it did, it would be dogged by huge controversy.

He said: “It is not enough to say that it is a technicality that these people are being brought back into the fold. This is not just a problem for the Jews, it is a problem most of all for the Catholics.” Traditional Catholics however continued to celebrate the lifting of the excommunications, timed to coincide with the end of the annual Week for Christian Unity.

How does Dr. Kessler presume to speak for the Catholics? That’s just amazing. He’s not even Catholic. After that all happened, the “scandal” escalated when the Chief Rabbinate broke Vatican ties.

Chief Rabbinate Director-General Oded Weiner wrote in a letter to Vatican officials that because of Pope Benedict’s decision to reinstate Britain’s Bishop Richard Williamson “without a public apology and recanting, it will be difficult to continue the dialogue,” The Jerusalem Post reported Wednesday.

Weiner addressed the letter to Cardinal Walter Casper, chairman of the Holy See’s Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews, saying he had canceled a meeting scheduled for March in Rome, the newspaper reported.

Apparently, the Pope’s decision to reinstate Bishop Williamsom without forcing him to publicly apologize and recant his positions effectively suspends relations with the Jews. I guess this is like the old “one drop” theory of racial purity, except in this case, even one Catholic Bishop believing something distasteful to the Jews poisons the whole relationship. Of course, the Pope quickly caved under this public pressure, and expressed solidarity with the Jews.

In his weekly audience with the public on Wednesday, Benedict said he “renewed with love” his “full and indisputable solidarity” with Jews, whom he called “our brothers of the first covenant.”

He added that he had repeatedly visited Auschwitz, the location of the “brutal massacre of millions of Jews, innocent victims of blind racial and religious hatred,” and said that the Holocaust “should be a warning for everyone against forgetting, denying or diminishing its significance.”

But tensions remained, a day after Israel’s highest religious body sent a letter to the Vatican asking to postpone an annual bilateral meeting and voicing “sorrow and pain” at the pope’s decision to welcome the bishop back into the fold.

The Israeli ambassador to the Vatican, Mordechay Lewy, said he welcomed the pope’s remarks about the Holocaust and called them “instrumental in shaping the parameters of the existing and future relations between Jews and Catholics.”

Makes you wonder about those parameters. Well, while we’re putting people under the microscope for their beliefs, how’s about we ask some Rabbis to explain the Talmud? I mean, there’s a few bits in there that call for some public apologies and recanting. (Go get your box of tissues…I’ll wait…)

A place of Christian worship is called (1) Beth Tilfah, a house of vanity and foolishness, in place of Beth Tefilah, a house of prayer; (2) Beth Abhodha Zarah, a House of Idolatry; (3) Beth Hatturapi Schel Letsim, a house of Evil Laughter.

Chalises used in the Sacrifice of the mass are spoken of as vessels in which filth is offered up to the idol. Moses Kozzensis, in Hilkoth Abhodah Zarah (10b) says:
“A Jew who buys Chalises of the Goi, which are broken and thrown away, it is not permitted to sell them again to them, because their priest of Baal will use them in the worship of the idol.”

The Talmud calls the books of the Christians Minim - heretical books - Siphre Debeth Abidan - Books of the House of Perdition. The Talmud in particular speaks of the books of the Gospels. Thus in Schabbath (116a) Toseph:

“Rabbi Meir calls heretical books Aaven Gilaion (volumes of iniquity) because the call them Gospels.”

And Rabbi Jochanan calls these books Aavon Gilaion, evil books. The Schulchan Arukh, Crakow edition, gives this name as Aven Niktabh al Haggilaion - iniquity written in a book.

Buxtorf says: “In the Arukh there is a note Scheker Niktabh al Gilaion, which means, a lie written in a book.”

All the Talmudists agree that the books of the Christians should be destroyed. They differ only as to what should be done with the names of God contained in them. In Schabbath (116a) it says:

“The Glossaries of our own books and the books of the heretics are not to be saved from the flames, if they should catch fire on the Sabbath day. Rabbi Jose, however, says: ‘On festival days the divine names should be torn out of the books of the Christians and hidden away; what remains must be given to the flames.’ But Rabbi Tarphon says: ‘In order that I may be remembered by my children, if those books should ever fall into my hands I would burn them together with the divine names contained therein. For if one is chased by an assassin, or by a serpent, it would be better to take refuge in a pagan temple than in one of theirs; because the Christians knowingly resist the truth, whereas the pagans do so unknowingly.”

Christian prayers are called, not Tefillah, but Tiflah. They change the point and insert Iod, which makes it read to mean sin, foolishness and transgression.
Christian festivals, especially Sunday, are called Ion Ed - day of destruction, perdition, misfortune or calamity. They are also simply called Iom Notsri - Christian Days. The word Ed rightly interpreted means misfortune or calamity, as appears from the Gemarah and the Glossaries of Maimonides in Abhodah Zarah (2a):

“The word Edehem means the festivals of the Christians, since it is written (in Deuter. XXXII, 35): the day of their calamity.”

Maimonides also says in Abhodah Zarah (78c):

“The words Edehem means the foolishness of their festivlas. It is the name for their despicable feast days which do not merit the name of Moedim, for they are really vain and evil.”

Baretenora also writes:

“The word Edehem is the name for their ignominious festivals and solemnities.”
The marginal notes of Tosephtoth also give this name to Christian festivals. Thus in Abhodah Zarah (6a):

“The Day of Evil, that is the Christian Day, is forbidden to us as well as all their other feast days.”

Some Christian festivals are mentioned by name, such as the feast of Christmas and Easter. Moses Mikkozzi, referring to the above text of Abhodah Zarah , says:

“Rabbi Sammuel declares, in the name of Solomon Iarchi, that in particular the festivals of Christmas and Easter, which are their principal evil days and the foundation of their religion, are forbidden to us.”

Maimonides, in hilkoth Akum (ch. IX) has the same:

“Sammuel repeats the words of Rabbi Sal. Iarchi which forbid us particularly to celebrate the feasts of Christmas and Easter, which are celebrated on account of him who was hanged.”

Furthermore, indications of the impiety of the Jews are to be found in the names which they give to these Christian festivals: For in place of using Tav in the word Nithal, they often write Tet and call it Nital for the Latin word Natalis, the Feast of the Nativity. They make it appear as if this word were from the root Natal which connotes extermination or destruction. Likewise they refuse to use the word Paschal (Pesach) for the Christian feast of Easter. The substitute Koph for Phe and insert the letter iod and call it Ketsach or Kesach. Both pronunciations have an evil meaning. Ketsach is from the root Katsah, meaning to amputate or cut off from, and Kesach is from the root Kesa, meaning to wood or a gallows. This is done because the feast of Easter is celebrated by Christians in memory of Christ - the one who was hanged - who was put to death and who rose again from the dead.

Oh sad sad day. This is actually just a small sample of disturbing things in the Talmud. If you’re a Christian, are your feelings hurt knowing that your religion and everything about it is considered evil in the Talmud? Or is this “just a technicality?” I’m just curious how many Rabbis believe these vicious things about the Christian faith, and Christians, and do they teach these hateful things to their followers? And if so, shouldn’t this information also be dragged through every newspaper as scandalous? And shouldn’t these Rabbis be forced to publicly apologize and renounce such hateful teachings? Or is all this religious scrutiny just a one way street?

I’ve been wanting to post something about evil, and Tucker Carlson has given me just the opportunity. Tucker finds it terribly disturbing that millions of Americans believe our government was complicit in 9/11.

“If you’re willing to even entertain the notion,” said Carlson, “I mean think about what that means: You are willing to believe that the president or the Congress or somebody, them, the people in charge, would kill more than 3,000 people who didn’t do anything wrong because it helped them pass the Patriot Act or invade Iraq.”

“That’s so evil,” he continued, “how could you still live in this country if you believe that?”

Responding to a suggestion that cynical Americans were “ready to believe just about anything negative” about their government, Carlson proposed that those individuals might want to skip the country.

“If you have a population that stupid and reckless and they’re in charge of the government, maybe it is time to leave the country,” he said. “I don’t even want to think it through it any more. This is why we never do this topic on the show. It just upsets me too much. I don’t want to know these kind of facts about America.”

Let’s just take this one step at a time.

First of all, Tucker finds it “so evil” that people can even entertain the possibility of government complicity in 9/11. I wrote about the failure of imagination here and how it leads us into danger and complacency. But Tucker doesn’t want people doing too much thinking; he’d rather they accept the official version of events. Unfortunately, the official story does not add up. People who care about the truth will have looked into 9/11 by now. It’s been six years. And anyone who has looked into it will certainly understand the unsettling conclusions of government complicity. That is simply where the facts point. Has Tucker looked into these things? Who knows, but I would guess not. Tucker does not care about The Truth, he cares about protecting the power structure that has made him rich and famous. Plus, it would be too upsetting. And he is right about that.
M. Scott Peck in The Road Less Traveled defined mental health as “an ongoing process of dedication to reality at all costs”. [Simon & Schuster, 1978, p.51] Sometimes facts (ie: reality) will take us in directions we don’t want to go. Does anyone WANT to believe that our leaders would be so corrupt, so venal, so greedy as to trigger a Pearl Harbor-like event to achieve their goals? Of course not. Accepting this means forever giving up the idea of American Exceptionalism, a treasured belief that we are a noble and good country, blessed by God with unique moral strength. And yet the facts simply do not support this belief. So people must choose, and many millions of us have chosen the facts and paid the dear price of giving up the treasured myth.

I grew up on The Myth. My childhood was filled with adults who believed that America was the Greatest Country in the World, and they all had their reasons for thinking so. It was true for them, and I loved and trusted them, and therefore it was true for me. Letting go of The Myth was extremely depressing, painful and time consuming, but it had to be done once I started looking for answers. Unfortunately, we can’t hold The Myth and The Truth at the same time. We must choose one, and I chose Truth, the way to mental health.

Some people mightily resist The Truth. It will crush them, and they know it, so they dedicate their lives to preserving The Myth.

In The People of the Lie, Peck goes on to explore evil. [Simon & Schuster, 1983] A psychiatrist, Peck had wondered at certain patients. While they seemed sane and normal, they caused tremendous confusion and pain to the people in their lives and even for Peck as their counselor. These are the people of the lie. First they lie to themselves, and then they lie to everyone else.

There is a tendency among lay persons to think that people who see a psychiatrist are abnormal, that there is something radically different about them in comparison to the ordinary population. This is not so. Like it or not, the psychiatrist sees as much psychopathology at cocktail parties, conferences, and corporations as in her or his own office. I am not saying there are absolutely no differences between those who visit a psychiatrist and those who do not, but the differences are subtle and, as often as not, reflect unfavorably upon the “normal” population. (p.85)

Evil, a dedication to the spirit of unreality, is common and pedestrian. When Tucker says, “I don’t want to know these kind of facts about America,” he is succumbing to evil impulses. He is dedicating himself to The Myth, not The Truth. He is clinging to unreality.

And what is Tucker’s solution? To make these people go away, of course. “How could you still live in this country if you believe that?” And then he starts to get more confused.

“If you have a population that stupid and reckless and they’re in charge of the government [We are? Cool.], maybe it is time to leave the country,” he said. [Wait...who's in charge and who is leaving? Is he saying he'll have to leave? Or is he admitting that stupid and reckless people are in charge? Does he even know what he's saying? I think he's freaking out.] “I don’t even want to think it through it any more. This is why we never do this topic on the show. It just upsets me too much. I don’t want to know these kind of facts about America.” [This has obviously taxed him emotionally. Run away, run away. Truth is so scary.]
