Last week, amid everything going on with the Catholic Church, the Latin American Herald Tribune reported that Guatemalan President Alvaro Colom had an audience with the pope at the Vatican. The two men “analyzed the international situation and the challenges presented by poverty, crime and emigration,” meeting alone for twenty minutes in the pope’s library.

The visit, the Vatican said, has highlighted the good relations between church and state in Guatemala and the particular contribution that the Catholic Church offers for the development of that Central American country. Colom invited the pope to visit Guatemala, the president’s aides said. After the audience, Colom met with the Vatican’s secretary of state, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, and the Holy See’s de facto foreign minister, Archbishop Dominique Mamberti.

Hmm. Sounds important. Pope John Paul II visited Guatemala three times, in 1983, 1996, and 2002.

Obama’s Attorney General, Eric Holder, used to be Chiquita’s top legal counsel. Chiquita, along with other corporations like Coca Cola, ExxonMobil, Occidental Petroleum and Drummond Co., have reportedly made arrangements in the past with death squads. As reported here:

After we restored order and became the local agents of law enforcement, managers for Chiquita and Dole plantations relied upon us to respond to their complaints…We would also get calls from the Chiquita and Dole plantations identifying specific people as “security problems” or just “problems.” Everyone knew that this meant we were to execute the identified person. In most cases those executed were union leaders or members or individuals seeking to hold or reclaim land that Dole or Chiquita wanted for banana cultivation, and the Dole or Chiquita administrators would report to the AUC that these individuals were suspected guerillas or criminals.

So, assassinate union leaders and report them as suspected guerillas or criminals. Check. After serving as top legal counsel, get promoted to Attorney General of the US. Check.

Chiquita used to be the United Fruit Company, a company with connections back to George Bush, the CIA, and the Rockefellers.

At the end of May, the Central Intelligence Agency declassified 1,400 pages of reports on the 1954 coup it engineered in Guatemala to remove president Jacobo Arbenz from office. Arbenz became a target of U.S. imperialism for threatening to carry out modest land reforms against the interests of produce giant, United Fruit Company. In 1952, U.S. president Harry Truman gave the secret police approval to begin shipping guns and money to opposition forces and training mercenaries.

The released documents show that CIA cops trained assassins to kill 58 people put on a “disposal list.” They include a 22-page how-to manual on murder. Secret intelligence officials claim none of the missions were carried out. The list of CIA targets were also subjected to “nerve war,” which included death threats, phone calls “preferably between 2 and 5 A.M.,” frame-ups, and other forms of intimidation. Less than 1 percent of the CIA files on the Guatemala coup were included in the declassification, with many details blacked out. (source)

That was the beginning…

In the 1980s alone, the Guatemalan military and its death squads killed over 100,000 people. Entire Indian villages were massacred….What brought down the wrath of this company and of the CIA was President Jacobo Arbenz Guzm n’s attempt to distribute uncultivated lands owned by United Fruit to landless peasants. Let me recap that: The CIA and other death squads killed over 100,000 (in the 1980s, 200,000 over the whole period) Guatemalans BECAUSE back in the 1950s Arbenz tried to distribute uncultivated land owned by UFC to landless peasants.

I believe that’s what it says.

Think about that for a minute. What kind of murderous depravity is that?

Child pornography scandal in Jutiapa, Guatemala: a child pornography ring that drugged and abused school students, ages 11 to 16, in the production of pornographic videos. The students were residents of a state-run school. The parents received death threats.

Children for sale: Guatemalan pedo-paradise: “Using hidden cameras, NBC solicited a child from a Guatemalan baby broker for an American man with a history of sex crimes against children. The broker tells the undercover reporter that the easiest way to get the adoption approved is to either bribe the police for a clean background check or just remove this information from the adoption home study.”

Spanish accused pedophile who works with children in Guatemala: He was accused of being part of a network of pedophiles, raping children, record and disseminate the footage online. In the network was known as ‘Darzee’. He managed to gain the trust of the people who hired him as a caretaker of children, camp counselor, teacher and organizer of festivals. Jordá spent three months in prison and fled out of Spain. It was to hide in a secluded place in Guatemala that are only accessible by boat. His work since then is the caretaker of the center, with 200 children in their care.

Detective James Rothestein, a respected former New York City vice officer said of Cohen:
Cohn’s job was to run the little boys.

Say you had an admiral, a general, a congressman, who did not want to go along with the program.  Cohn’s job was to set them up, then they would go along. Cohn told me that himself.

Gray is the chair­man and CEO of Hill and Knowl­ton, one of the two biggest pub­lic rela­tions firms in the world, with such blue-chip clients as AT&T, IBM, Xerox, and DuPont. CBS-TV’s 60 Min­utes has called Hill and Knowl­ton ‘by far, the biggest, most influ­en­tial PR firm in Wash­ing­ton,’ adding that ‘crit­ics accuse them of being an unelected shadow gov­ern­ment.’ Gray first came to Wash­ing­ton D.C. dur­ing the Eisen­hower Admin­is­tra­tion, as Ike’s appoint­ments sec­re­tary and then sec­re­tary of the cab­i­net. He went to Hill and Knowl­ton in 1961. Gray played a role in Ronald Reagan’s 1976 pres­i­den­tial cam­paign and, in 1980, he was deputy direc­tor of com­mu­ni­ca­tions. Report­ing directly to Bill Casey.”

…Gray is also report­edly a spe­cial­ist in homo­sex­ual black­mail oper­a­tions for the CIA.”

…De Camp alleges that the oper­a­tions in which Wil­son, Ter­pil and Gray allegedly engaged in were an exten­sion of the activ­i­ties of for­mer Joseph McCarthy aide Roy Cohn.

Some of the little boys came from South America.

…Gray’s activ­i­ties over­lap those activ­i­ties of the Iran-Contra scan­dal and also the milieu of the Bush fam­ily. The Catholic youth home Covenant House was impli­cated in orga­nized child molesta­tion and also had ties to the Bushes.

“Lauded by the Rea­gan and Bush Admin­is­tra­tions as a show­case for the pri­va­ti­za­tion of social ser­vice, Covenant House had expanded into Guatemala as a gate­way to South Amer­ica. Accord­ing to intel­li­gence com­mu­nity sources, the pur­pose was pro­cure­ment of chil­dren from South Amer­ica for exploita­tion in a pedophile ring. The flag­ship Guatemalan mis­sion of Covenant House was launched by a for­mer busi­ness part­ner of Nicaraguan dic­ta­tor Anas­ta­sio Somoza–Roberto Ale­jos Arzu–who had ties to the CIA, accord­ing to the Vil­lage Voice of Feb. 20, 1990. The Voice quoted Jean-Marie Simon, author of Guatemala: Eter­nal Spring, Eter­nal Tyranny: ‘It’s like hav­ing Idi Amin on the board of Amnesty International.’”

Perhaps we can pause here to remember the Sabbateans and the history of the Jesuits. And why it makes perfect sense that all those CIA directors would come out of Jesuit universities and go on to oversee these despicable operations described at these links.

This is not a coincidence.

These sexual blackmail operations have evidently continued to the present day. A Wayne Madsen report from 2006 details the role of certain politicians in these scandals, and the further connection to Guatemala.

WMR has learned that the GOP for a number of years has used pipelines like the House and Senate page systems, political indoctrination organizations like the College Republicans, juvenile “diversion programs,” and religious-connected political groups like to groom young men for the predatory sexual appetites of older male GOP members of Congress.

But it is not just young men who are groomed by the GOP predators. Republican Rep. Jerry Weller of Illinois, who is married to the daughter of Guatemalan ex-dictator (and fundamentalist Christian) Gen. Efrain Rios Montt, is rumored to have conducted an illicit affair with a 16-year old female page. This comes at a time when the United States and John Bolton, a supporter of Rios Montt, are attempting to sway the United Nations into electing Guatemala to the UN Security Council. Former CIA officials, well aware of the human rights abuses by past and current members of Guatemala’s oligarchy, have leaked information on Weller, former CIA Director Porter Goss, and others to point out that the agency, as far back as the 1960s when Goss served as a Latin American CIA agent, routinely used Mexican and Guatemalan female teens to entrap U.S. and foreign political figures. The “outing” of right-wing Republican Weller, the son-in-law of Rios Montt and champion of Guatemala’s oligarchy, as a predator, is no coincidence. It is meant to shine a light on this old blackmail network during a time when Goss’ name and those of jailed Rep. Randy “Duke” Cunningham, Kyle “Dusty” Foggo, Brant “Nine Fingers” Bassett, and ADCS contractor Brent Wilkes have arisen again during a House Intelligence Committee investigation of Shirlington Limousine and the transport of young prostitutes of both sexes to “poker parties” at the Watergate and Westin Hotels in Washington, DC. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Peter Hoesktra, Goss’s replacement, seems more interested in covering up this scandal than in discovering the truth.

Late last month, Russian drug control chief Viktor Ivanov explained that a large drug trafficking route had shifted. Instead of going from Afghanistan and southeast through Pakistan and into India, drug trafficking has shifted west through Iran and then north through Azerbaijan. Georgia plays a large role in this new route.

“According to our data and information from foreign sources, the high level of corruption among Georgian authorities is preventing the fight against drug transit across the country from being effective,” Ivanov said.

And in the northeast corner of Georgia, Pankisi Gorge. “Russian-Georgian relations have long been strained over the presence of Chechen rebels in Georgia’s Pankisi Gorge and Georgia’s refusal to let Russian troops flush the rebels out.”  (source)

There have been many reports over the past few years of al Qaeda linked terrorists in the Northern Caucasus.

September 2004: al Qaeda tie to Beslan school massacre probed

November 2007: al Qaeda associate, Doku Umarov, declares Islamic Caucasus emirate

February 2009: al Qaeda has gained strength in North Caucasus

August 2009: notorious al Qaeda militant from Algeria killed by Russian forces

March 2010: associate of Doku Umarov killed by Russian forces

Some groups in the Northern Caucasus have been linked to Wahabbi Islam and Saudi Arabia.

The Special Purpose Islamic Regiment (SPIR), designated by the U.S. Department of State as a terrorist organization Feb. 28, 2002 , is a Chechen terror group engaged in a bloody, ethno-nationalist struggle for the independence of the Republic of Chechnya and Ichkeria from almost 150 years of Russian subjugation.  While most of the citizens of Chechnya adhere to a mild form of Sufi Islam — mysticism based on certain indigenous pre-Islamic traditions — members of the SPIR are Sunni Islamic radicals, imbued with a passionate fundamentalism of the Wahhabi creed, who, along with two other Chechen groups recently added as terrorist organizations, have appropriated the tactics of international terrorism with Islamic connections as a means to advance their nationalist objectives. The Oct. 23, 2002 , attack on Moscow ’s Poshipnikov Zavod Dubrovka Theater was a case in point — an al Qaeda-style attack that possibly could portend things to come.  This would especially be true if SPIR and other groups decide to sabotage the results of the March 23 referendum, where Chechens voted overwhelmingly for political autonomy while remaining a part of Russia .

But while the SPIR shares the desire for independence with the mainstream Chechen population, who are moderates and largely reject fundamentalist ideologies, their interests are not the same.  The SPIR, in addition to Chechen independence, seek the implementation of their fundamentalist ideology throughout the Caucasus region as well.  This would mean, ideally, areas from the North Caucasus republics in Russia , Abkhazia in Georgia , and parts of Azerbaijan would be under the rule of an Islamic caliphate.  SPIR has managed to muddy the mainstream Chechen struggle through violent acts of terrorism and promotion of its preferred version of Islam.  As Wahhabists, the SPIR and similar groups have transformed the Chechen struggle for national liberation into the appearances of a religiously-inspired rebellion, jihad, with direct links to the most notorious and pernicious terror group the world has ever seen.

In 2005, Israel reportedly invited one of Putin’s deputies for the Northern Caucasus to Tel Aviv for a meeting to discuss building a security fence between Stavropol in the south of Russia and Chechnya and Daghestan in the North Caucasus.

The information on Dmitry Kozak’s planned visit to Israel came before an armed conflict in the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, the city of Nalchik. This republic is in the central part of Northern Caucasus and also has the common border with Stavropol territory. Yesterday’s fights in Nalchik will push the Russian authorities even more strongly towards activization of cooperation with Israelis, including in erection of the protective wall on Caucasus.

…In both of these republics, regardless of the massive presence of the army units and various security services, the Kremlin is unable to establish order for 15 years already. Every day the skirmish and explosions, and even massive military operations of the government forces against the local supporters of independence or of the radical Islam, take place there. As a result, the Russian authorities decided to ask Israelis for help, taking into consideration the effectiveness of the security fence separating Israel from the West bank of Jordan river.

…According to information available, Kozak also plans to meet with the head of Israeli Foreign Intelligence Mossad, Meir Dagan. If this meeting takes place, it will mean that the members of the Russian delegation come to Israel not only to discuss the security fence project (this issue is absolutely out of Mossad’s competence).

Does Russia really need Israel, and Israel’s “help”? Does any country really need Israel? It’s laughable. And it’s a lot more laughable now than it was in 2005.

But Israel has their little pet Saakashvili in Georgia. And Georgia just happens to be so strategically located. According to a widely circulated article this month by Eric Wahlberg, Russia Azerbaijan/Armenia: All Roads Lead to the Caucasus, US special forces trained Georgian troops in the Pankisi Gorge for five years.

Interestingly, from 2002-2007, more than 200 US Special Forces troops were training Georgian troops in Pansiki, though neither the Americans nor the Georgians were able to end the attacks on Russia.

Why do you suppose they weren’t able to end the attacks on Russia hmm?

And did they bump into any al Qaeda linked rebels there in the gorge?

h/t to Kenny’s Sideshow for finding this video. very interesting, a few little bobbles in my opinion but overall pretty solid and coming from an insider, that’s the key. you know we people who have been doing what he’s suggesting for a few years, we figured this out without being told. people who think bloggers are wacky conspiracy theorists — they are the ones who need to hear it from an inside person, an “authority” or an “expert” if you will, because they’re just not going to believe a fellow citizen no matter how many links or proof we throw at them.

1. Israel lies about killing Palestinians

Doctors who treated two Palestinian youths shot dead by Israeli troops in the West Bank have refuted the army’s claim that they had used rubber bullets and said the medical evidence showed that live ammunition had been fired.

The shooting of Mohammed and Osaid Qadus, both teenagers, in the village of Iraq Burin was followed yesterday by the deaths of another two youths shot by Israeli forces. The renewed violence came as it was confirmed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet President Barack Obama in Washington tomorrow amid continued US efforts to relaunch indirect negotiations between the two sides in the conflict.

…The two Palestinians who died yesterday – said to be in their late teens – were from Awarta near Nablus and were on village farmland overlooked by the Jewish settlement of Itamar. Villagers said they assumed the pair were working the land. The Israeli military said they had tried to stab a soldier.

…

The Israeli military said on Saturday that it had opened an investigation into the shootings but also insisted that soldiers had responded with tear gas and rubber bullets to a “violent and illegal riot” and added: “Live fire was not used.”

But a hospital X-ray released by the Israeli human rights agency Btselem and also shown to The Independent by doctors at Nablus’s private Speciality hospital show what appears to be a conventional metal bullet lodged in the brain of Osaid Qadus, who died there of his injuries at about 3am yesterday.

Dr Ahmad Hamad, the duty resident in the hospital’s accident and emergency department when the boys were brought in, said Mohammed Qadus had suffered a single shot in the chest. He said there was a small entry wound and a larger exit wound in his back.

Another doctor, Abdul Karim Hashesh, was on duty when the bodies of the youths shot yesterday arrived at Nablus’s Rafidia Hospital. He said that one, Mohammed Kuarik was hit by a total of seven bullets while the other, Saleh Kuaraik, was hit by at least three. Young Palestinians burned tyres and set up roadblocks of rocks across one of the main roads into Awarta in protest at the shootings yesterday afternoon.

The daily Al-Akhbar, which carried the report, said Syria, Lebanon as well as some Palestinian figures have received several messages from the West warning against the outburst of violence in refugee camps in Lebanon.

The letters, according to the daily, have demanded that Syria help contain the situation in Lebanon refugee camps.

Damascus expressed readiness to meet the West’s demand, but requested an amendment to the structure of Lebanon’s security in order to make security institutions “cooperative and responsive” to the Syrian leadership.

DUBAI - THE US government has warned ships sailing off Yemen’s coast of the risk of al-Qaeda attacks similar to a suicide bombing of the US warship Cole in 2000 that killed 17 US sailors.

The US Office of Naval Intelligence said on its website that ships in the Red Sea, the strategic Bab al-Mandab strait between Yemen and Djibouti, and the Gulf of Aden along Yemen’s coast were at the greatest risk.

‘Information suggests that al-Qaeda remains interested in maritime attacks in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, Red Sea, and the Gulf of Aden along the coast of Yemen,’ the office said in a statement, citing an advisory by the US Department of Transportation. ‘Although it is unclear how they would proceed, it may be similar in nature to the attacks against the USS Cole in October 2000 and the M/V Limburg in October 2002 where a small to mid-size boat laden with explosives was detonated.’

Yemen, at the forefront of Western security concerns since a failed December attack on a US-bound plane, boosted security on its coast earlier this year to prevent militants reaching its shores from nearby Somalia to reinforce al-Qaeda in Yemen. Al-Qaeda’s Yemen-based arm claimed responsibility for the failed December plane attempt. Western allies and neighbouring oil exporter Saudi Arabia fear al-Qaeda is exploiting instability on several fronts in impoverished Yemen to recruit and train militants for attacks in the region and beyond.

Headley’s links with the US intelligence will now remain classified information and the Pakistani nationals involved in the Mumbai attacks will get away scot-free. Furthermore, the FBI will not allow Headley’s extradition to India and will restrict access so that Indian agencies cannot interrogate him regarding his links with US and Pakistani intelligence.

…The plea bargain raises explosive questions. The LeT began planning the attack on Mumbai sometime around September 2006. According to the plea bargain, Headley paid five visits to India on reconnaissance missions between 2006 and the November 2008 strike, each time returning to the US via Pakistan where he met “with various co-conspirators, including but not limited to members of LeT”.

The plea bargain simply refers to the Pakistani handlers of Headley as A, B, C and D. But who are they? We will never know.
The LeT’s close links with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) are legion and it is inconceivable that such a massive operation - with huge international ramifications and the potential to trigger war with India - could have been undertaken without the knowledge of the ISI, headed by General Ashfaq Parvez Kiani, the present army chief, from October 2004 until October 2007.

US satellites could help far-flung Russians talk to each other - but some fear national security could be compromised.

Phoning family in far-flung regions could be going global, amid reports that an advisory panel is set to recommend Russia signs up to an American satellite system to improve communications in the far north.

An analytical note seen by RBC Daily says of the four available services - including Russia’s own Gonets - Iridium is the only system with full coverage of the country, including the Arctic and the northern seaways.

Iridium’s network of 66 satellites makes it the largest of its type - but its rumoured connections with the Pentagon have alarmed some in Russia.

Yury Zaitsev, acting academic advisor to the Academy of Engineering Science, warned RBC Daily that all info on Iridium goes through a control centre in the USA - potentially giving them access to strategically important data from some of Russia’s most remote and unprotected border regions.

These distant settlements rely on satellites for phone and internet services because the population is too small and landline or mobile links are too expensive to set up.

The most likely clients are oil and energy companies and ship owners, and Iridium is apparently ready to open a gateway to Russia. But they would have to pass 51 per cent of its local subsidiary into Russian control.

One year ago there were also discussions about using Iridium in Russia, but no deal was reached. At the moment thousands of subscribers are using the service even though it is illegal.

In December 2000, a group of private investors led by Dan Colussy organized Iridium Satellite LLC. Iridium Satellite LLC acquired the operating assets of the bankrupt Iridium LLC including the satellite constellation, the terrestrial network, Iridium real property and intellectual capital.

How much did this group of private investors pay for the system that cost about $5 billion to build?

$25 million. That’s a discount of about 99.5% off the build cost.

Who were those private investors who just happened to be at the right place at the right time? I’ll be buggered if I know, but someone, somewhere probably knows.

I received one cynical e-mail saying, “It was a sanctioned technology experiment as the parental controls were overridden. That’s why there’s no government action.” Who will be prosecuted for deliberately and/or recklessly brutalizing these wide-eyed youngsters?

Statistically speaking, some percentage of these small victims will eventually act out on themselves, on their siblings, neighbors, friends, or families and blame themselves!

…Under the circumstances, I understand why my correspondent suspects that the May 1 “accident” was actually a test run by Comcast, Disney – or both – to induce small children into pornography addiction.

So imagine my shock when today I read that something very similar has happened Tuesday in North Carolina. Pornographic content aired in the corner of the kids channel menu from about 6:15 to 8:15 a.m. in parts of Cary, Garner, Morrisville, Wilson, Goldsboro, Willow Spring and Johnston County. The number of children involved? Secret.

It used to be that plonking your children before the TV to watch an innocent and harmless parade of child-friendly specialist shows instilled a sense of safety and trust in busy parents. Not anymore.

More pointedly, thousands of shocked parents in North Carolina may be somewhat less inclined to leave the room from this point forward after pornographic content was mistakenly broadcast on Time Warner’s ‘Kids on Demand’ and ‘Kids Preschool on Demand’ channels this past Tuesday.

The misplaced content, which belonged to the Playboy Channel, presented its wide-eyed viewers with naked women engaged in raw sexual conversation – a far cry from the stream of previews for kiddie shows that was supposed to be airing at the time.

And, adding insult to injury, network operator Time Warner Cable apparently left the adult content running for two hours, even though it received a surge of phone calls from concerned and outraged parents soon after the clumsy on-air snafu.


TWO Hours. That should be enough time to really scramble a few innocent children’s psyches hmm? Oh, oopsie, “technical glitch.” Sure. Check out the “regret.”

“We’re very, very sorry it happened – we know parents are concerned,” said Time Warner Cable spokesman Keith Poston on local news station WRAL. “It was a technical glitch and unfortunately it hit at the worst possible time on the worst possible channels.”

Although unlikely to scrub the minds of any young children exposed to the pornographic content, Time Warner Cable has said it will never allow such an error to happen again.

Uh huh.

…Randall Samborn, the spokesperson of US Attorney, said that he would not be able to comment in this matter whether David Headley is changing his ‘not guilty’ plea or whether there has been a fresh deal made between the government and Headley.

However, he mentioned that David Headley would be present for the March 18 hearing.

A death penalty is sure for Headley if convicted of all the twelve charges laid against him.

David Headley was born in Washington to a Pakistani diplomat and a Philadelphia socialite. He did his education in a military boarding school in Pakistan. When he was at teenage his parents divorced and he returned to U.S.

There he managed his mom’s bar in Philadelphia and also briefly attended community college. He moved to New York in 1994 and bought two video rental stores. Mr. Headley was convicted of conspiring to smuggle heroin in 1998 and he was sentenced to 15 months in prison.

He began training with Lashkar-e-Taiba, terror group in Pakistan, in 2002 and 2003. In 2005 Headley began surveillance of Mumbai. In 2006 he changed his name to facilitate his travels abroad. His original name is Daood Gilani.

1. Kasab trial: as predicted, prosecution blames Pakistan, specifically that Pak Army sponsored Mumbai attacks — state sponsored — that means PAKISTAN, not any other states like maybe India or Israel or the US or the UK.

The 26/11 trial took a new turn on Tuesday with the prosecution stating that Pakistan Army was involved in the Mumbai terror attacks and a serving Major General had supervised their training in LeT camps across the border.

“The conspiracy of the 26/11 attack was hatched on Pakistan soil…It was a classic case of state-sponsored terrorism”, Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said in his final arguments which began in a high-security court at Central Prison here.

Attired in white kurta and pyjama, 22-year-old Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving Pakistani gunman, was seen in the dock covering his face with a handkerchief most of the time. Two other accused, Faheem Ansari and Sabauddin Ahmed, sat besides him on a bench.

Nikam said Kasab and the nine other slain terrorists had undergone military and intelligence training in Pakistan given by activists of terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and supervised by certain officers of the Pakistan Army….Kasab, he said, was a well trained commando and had also been imparted intelligence training to mislead the court. He had taken U-turns a number of times by making confessions and later retracting them, Nikam said. Alleging that the LeT and the Army were hand-in glove, the prosecution said a deliberate attempt was made by the conspirators to conceal Pakistan’s involvement in the attack.

On Friday, a red alert was sounded in and around the Mumbai harbour after a central intelligence agency provided fresh inputs that a mystery ship could be heading towards Mumbai from the Colombo harbour

The intelligence points to an attack on warships in the harbour. A group of trained marine commandos has been assigned to carry out the strike.

Coast Guard sources said five patrol vessels had sailed out of Mumbai harbour on the same day to track down the vessel and all ships have been put on high alert. Officially, the Coast Guard have chosen to remain tight-lipped. Its spokesperson, Commandant A Malhotra, refused to furnish details of the alert.

Officials said the ship could be carrying arms for Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives, at the behest of Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence. There is a possibility that the crew could pull off a high seas transfer of arms and ammunition.

Coast Guard air stations at Dabolim in Goa and the Union Territory of Daman, about 200 km north of Mumbai, have also been put on alert. Sorties are being flown to assist ships in locating the mystery ship.

The alert follows another sounded in January this year on the heels of another group of trained Pakistani marine commandos planning to strike defencep establishments in and around Mumbai.

This was followed by joint patrolling by the Mumbai police, Coast Guard, Navy, Customs and port officials.

All naval and Coast Guard ships have been placed on high alert and security has been beefed up around defence establishments and ships off Mumbai harbour.

Naval commandos have been deployed round the clock on battleships in docks and entry to defence areas has been restricted to visitors.

The body of a nine-year-old girl was on Sunday discovered on the terrace of a building in the police housing colony in northeast Mumbai, police said.

As the news spread, hundreds of angry city residents from nearby areas marched to the police station in Nehru Nagar and held protests, demanding action against the culprits.

The victim, Anjali Jaiswal, was reported missing after 7.30 pm on Saturday by her family. She was a Class 4 student and lived in a nearby slum.

Her body was discovered by the daughter of an assistant police inspector when she went to hang clothes to dry on the terrace around 10.30 am on Sunday. This created a sensation in the area and several hundred irate residents marched to the police station.

Police declined to reveal further details and the victim’s body, which bore some injury marks, has been sent for an autopsy to Rajawadi Hospital.

An official of the Nehru Nagar police station said a special team had been formed to probe the case.

The victim’s family, however, took strong exception to the police directly sending her body for an autopsy before informing them.

There are around a dozen buildings in the colony housing police personnel from different parts of Mumbai.

The California man killed in front of the Pentagon, John Patrick Bedell, had a bone to pick.

Signs emerged that Bedell harbored ill feelings toward the government and the armed forces, and had questioned the circumstances behind the 2001 terrorist attacks.

In an Internet posting, a user by the name JPatrickBedell wrote that he was “determined to see that justice is served” in the death of Marine Col. James Sabow, who was found dead in the backyard of his California home in 1991. The death was ruled a suicide but the case has long been the source of theories of a cover up.
Sabow’s family has maintained that he was murdered because he was about to expose covert military operations in Central America involving drug smuggling.
…Court records available online show the date of birth on the case mentioned by the user JPatrickBedell matches that of the John Patrick Bedell suspected in the shooting.

RK: So your father identified Oliver North as an associate?
DF: Oh yes.
RK: Did he say anything about working directly with Oliver North?
DF: Yes. They were involved with drug running for the CIA in the South America Region.
…RK: Was there anything else in South America that your father was upset about?
DF: Not that I really know of. He was just really upset when I guess the drug trafficking was getting out of
hand. They were using the drugs to buy guns, black operations were getting worse, “running amuck” was the
expression.
RK: Now did your father mention any words or names or indicators for some of these operations he was
involved in?
DF: No. The only time he had mentioned an operation by the name of Sand Man. Okay. He had also
mentioned an operation that was known as Amadeus and yet phone calls would come to the house when he was here in New Mexico and someone would say Amadeus and a lot of times he would call and say Amadeus and he would be out of the house within an hour of like a phone call coming in or him making a phone call. Sand Man he had mentioned. There was another one…tin roof or tin shed, something like that. He had discussed South America. He had discussed something about how they were putting for planes to land.
RK: Flights?
DF: Beacons. Something that radar would not detect and they were making….why can’t I think of this
thing? For the runways. They were building runways but he never stated what it was called at any time and I
know he had gone to South or Latin America for that.
RK: To in effect build runways?
DF: Yes. And something to do with beacons. Something about the planes so that they could not be detected
coming in.
…RK: Did he indicate what time he saw George Bush and your father together?
DF: No he did not. I think he told me they were in the Honduras region. My father was passing himself off
as George Bush’s private doctor.
RK: Did you have any indication of anything else about Mr. Bush?
DF: I don’t understand your question. They were running drugs.
RK: Mr. Bush?
DF: Yes.
RK: With the assistance of?
DF: Mr. North and quite a few others

DF: Colonel Sabo.
RK: How do you know of Colonel Sabo?
DF: It is not through my father, it is through what happen with Colonel Sabo. Okay.

In 1997, Mike Ruppert also testified before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, in which he mentioned Colonel Sabow’s brother, David Sabow.

My evidence will show conclusively that, as a matter of national policy, set at the National Security Council - the White House - elements of the C.I.A., in concert with elements of the military, and other federal agencies, have dealt drugs to Americans for at least three decades. Major defense contractors like E-Systems have also engaged in such traffic. I will not cover the outstanding work of scholars such as Alfred McCoy of the University of Wisconsin and Peter Dale Scott of the University of California at Berkeley who document this activity back to the forties. Also this committee should interview two former CIA employees on the subject. Their names are David MacMichael and Ralph McGehee.

An account of the Sabow case written by Gary Null.

Very briefly, Sabow was relieved of his duties along with Chief of Staff Colonel Joseph Underwood, allegedly as the result of an anonymous phone call to the Department of Defense’s fraud and abuse hotline for allegedly misusing aircraft. The charges appeared to be trumped up. Sabow could not understand why the Marines suddenly treated him like a criminal after he had dedicated his life to the service, but his brother believes the military killed him because he had uncovered part of the drug trafficking operations.

Underwood and Sabow were next door neighbors. Underwood was home at the time of Sabow’s death. Within hours of talking to Underwood, David Sabow knew that his brother had met with foul play. The military tried to intimidate David Sabow and his brother’s widow into silence.

The findings clearly indicate that Colonel Sabow did not fire the shotgun. The evidence of Col. Sabow’s murder is overwhelming. Why he was murdered and why there has been such a massive effort by the government in undertaking this cover-up is another matter. In summary, Colonel Sabow was Chief of Operations for Marine Air, Western Area. Shortly before his death, he learned of criminal activity by higher officials at El Toro Marine Air Base and others, involving illegal weapon shipments to Latin America, and drug shipments into various military bases on the return flights. He was intent on exposing these activities. The cover-up involves the DOD, the FBI and others. It is more than possible that solving the murder of Col. Sabow will lead investigators to those in the military who were involved in the illegal activities spoken of here. The DOJ, which has chosen to look the other way, at some point will be compelled to ask: WHO and WHY. This is perhaps not the first time the U.S. government has failed to seek justice for its citizens. But Col. Sabow’s murder and the subsequent cover-up by high military officials should be brought to light, if not for Col. Sabow’s family to receive justice, then for the American people who deserve much better from their officials. What is obvious from this entire chronicle is to what extent militarism has overcome our country and how covert intelligence operations are used to carry out the militaristic agenda.

So who is killing the poor young women and girls of Juarez? And why, after more than ten years, do the killings continue? Some of the murders are believed to be the work of serial killers or drug gangs, linked to the powerful Juarez drug cartel. Others link the murders to an organ-trafficking network. Still others say that the perpetrators come from among some 700 sex offenders who live in El Paso and often visit Juarez. Another theory is that a number of the mutilated bodies found in the desert bear the signs of snuff films, the type of violent porn films in which someone is really killed at the end. The inability of the local authorities to stop the murders has convinced many of possible police complicity in the crimes.

Now they don’t find the bodies. Years ago they did.

This is how they ensure that “no credible evidence” ever exists to prove those crazy organ trafficking and snuff film urban legend myths: the people disappear.

January 12, 2010: JUAREZ, MEXICO – There is nothing unusual on the outside of the one-storey building in central Juarez that operates as a rehabilitation centre. But the inside is a literal hell.

A confidential source told US and Mexican authorities that he saw women’s bodies lying on the floor. He also was present when dead men were hauled inside the building by a group of hit-men.

The source said: “I asked one of the men in charge at the place about the women’s bodies.

“I knew about women in Juarez disappearing. Everyone knew that about Juarez. This had to be one of the main ways in which they vanish.

“The bodies I saw were of young-looking women. They told me they were trying to break into the organ-trafficking business and that it was simply another way to make money.

“He said they wanted to sell organs from the men’s bodies as well. He said all this very matter of factly.

“This was no rehab centre. They sold drugs in there, and people were in and out all the time. The centre actually had a government permit for the place. A man and his two sons kept the centre going.”

This was no ordinary criminal enterprise. Two years later, the same activities continued without interruption. Despite the drug-violence that besieged the border city, nothing slowed the kidnappings and murders associated with the centre.

At times, men wearing police uniforms brought weapons inside the building, only to return later for them. Bodies came and went. The world on the outside, on the other side of the door, was oblivious to what went on inside this den of horrors.

The source asked whether the police helped with the business. The only response he got was that they were part of nuestra gente (our people).

He was told not to worry because if anyone were to be arrested, the authorities would have to start with some top officials of the Mexican government.

“I wondered after seeing so much whether I would ever leave that place alive,” the source said. “To survive, I pretended to go along with things. I never voiced disapproval.”

Between 1993 and 2009, more than 600 girls and women were murdered in Juarez, Mexico. But the actual number of women who died in this way is higher because the authorities have concealed some of the deaths from past years.

Hundreds more are missing and their fate is unknown. Activists suspect human-trafficking gangs lured or abducted many of the missing women.

Over the past decade, the US State Department and human rights organisations around the world have highlighted human-trafficking and child-sex tourism in Mexico.

According to a US State Department report released in 2009, child-sex tourism continues to grow in Mexican northern border cities such as Tijuana and Juarez.

Cancun and Acapulco are also popular child sex-tourism destination. The report said: “Foreign child-sex tourists arrive most often from the United States, Canada and western Europe.”

Each year, as many as 20,000 children are sexually exploited in these urban centres. “Mexican men, women and children (also) are trafficked into the United States for forced labour, particularly in agriculture and industrial sweatshops,” the report said.

The US government said corruption and lax enforcement were to blame for few human-trafficking prosecutions in Mexico.

Jacinto Segura, a spokesman for the Juarez city police, said: “We’re aware of the report, but our function as city police is prevention.

“If police become aware of a situation of this nature, then they will step in to prevent it. State and federal authorities can investigate any complaints brought to their attention.”

Mexican authorities however failed to act on a well-documented warning in 2001 describing such abuses.

The United Nations’ Unicef and Mexico’s National System for Integral Family Development (DIF) released a 135-page report that year alleging the sexual exploitation of children was rampant on the country’s northern and southern borders.

The report identified specific places in Juarez where clandestine meetings for adults seeking children were arranged.

The report, titled Boy and Girl Victims of Sexual Exploitation in Mexico, stemmed from a 10-month investigation that focused primarily on Juarez, Tijuana, Guadalajara, Acapulco, Cancun and Tapachula, Chiapas.

The organisations behind the report recommended a bi-national task force to address the problem.
A former law enforcement officer in the state of Chihuahua, who asked that his name not be used, alleged that police at all levels protect human-trafficking networks.

Because of his contacts, he managed to rescue one teenage girl who was transported from Juarez to Mexico City for prostitution, and saved another girl who was raped by police before she was taken out of the city.
Raul Gonzalez, a former informant for US investigators, said he was aware that human-trafficking worked in concert with drug-trafficking during the 1980s.

He said: “Small airplanes carrying drugs and children landed on clandestine air strips in the Valle de Juarez, (a community east of the Juarez city limits).

“We were told back then that the children were sold to people in the United States.”

A member of a well-known advocacy organisation in Mexico, who asked not to be identified, said human-trafficking is a fact of life in Juarez and other Mexican cities.

“A mother we interviewed for one of our cases said a US politician was present at one of the sex parties where underage girls were sexually exploited.

“I have to leave some of the details out because this kind of information can get you killed.

“Besides, we know the authorities are not going to do anything, especially when important people are implicated,” the advocate said.

Mexican journalists and non-governmental organisations who have exposed child prostitution and trafficking rings reported threats against them.

The Rand Corporation issued a report in 2009, Security in Mexico: Implications for US Policy Options, that described what others often say about the extent of mafias operating in Mexico.

“Organised crime has infiltrated all levels of Mexico’s government and police forces, and is involved in many illegal activities that are on the rise, including drug trafficking, human trafficking and arms trafficking.”

Rand presents in clear detail the challenge for policymakers in Mexico.

It’s about as effective as going to the CIA to complain about Jundullah. They’ll take copious notes and fuck you over twice as efficiently next time.
