so true, James. i'm glad you unpacked that. i laughed out loud at Thompson suggesting that the pharmaceutical companies could be "scared away" from vaccine development, as if they're the shy nerdy kid in the second grade lunchroom ready to have his tray flipped by the mean bully critics.

well i'm sure their little North American Vaccine Forum will be well-attended next week, despite this unfortunate accountability wrinkle.

This is all about distracting the public away from the fact that vaccines are dangerous and the public away from refusing them in the future. So its finger pointing and focusing on personalities and who said what instead of the recent public reaction and why and the larger issue of vaccines in general - are they medicines or poisons or both?
Some (corrected) quotes
“If it really comes to a very nasty public discussion and results in a big loss of reputation for the pharmaceutical companies, then it’s another matter,” she (Kresse) commented."
This should read, "“If it really comes to a very nasty public discussion and results in a big loss of reputation for vaccines, then it’s another matter,” she commented.

"Secretary Tommy Thompson added his voice to those defending the pandemic vaccine programs, saying it would be a terrible outcome if critics succeeded in scaring companies away from vaccine development."
Thompson really means, "Secretary Tommy Thompson added his voice to those defending the pandemic vaccine programs, saying it would be a terrible outcome if pharmateutical company behaviour succeeded in scaring the public away from vaccine compliance."

"The worst thing in the world would be to say this was contrived and therefore scare away vaccine companies from getting scientists to do research on infectious viruses.”
This would more correctly read, "The worst thing in the world would be to say this was contrived and therefore hindering vaccine companies from getting scientists (to work for them and) to do research on vaccines

It's a Punch and Judy show. It's all about managing the narrative; to create confusion and distract the public away from the clear toxicity and ineffectiveness of vaccines so as to keep the boondoggle going using the public as lab rats.

The CDC said only 20% of Americans took the H1N1 shot. All the scare tactics and wall to wall media coverage didn't work. Yep, not enough dead bodies. They're going to have to work on that for the next big thing.
