Hold the narrative up to the sunlight

While certainly no expert on Central and South America, I couldn’t help but notice the particular call-out warning in Haaretz this week for Israelis in Columbia. From the end of yesterday’s post discussing the likelihood of a false flag against Israelis/Jews any minute now:

Update: Haaretz: Israel tells nationals: Leave Sinai immediately
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1106759.html
The Counter-Terrorism Bureau in the Prime Minister’s Office warned Israelis to exercise caution when traveling abroad during the Jewish holidays, due to the assessment that Hezbollah may try to attack Israeli citizens, and urged citizens in Sinai to leave immediately.

In issuing its report on Tuesday, which it does regularly before Rosh Hashanah and Passover every year, the bureau stated the bulletin “did not involve new warnings, but rather a current assessment.” It cautioned Israelis to be vigilant regarding anything unusual, and to refrain from traveling to Muslim countries subject to specific travel warnings. These countries include Jordan, Morocco and Egypt (including Sinai). Particularly high-level warnings have been issued regarding Sinai. An estimated 40,000 Israelis are currently there, most of them Israeli Arabs on vacation before Ramadan begins on August 20.

Other countries subject to travel warnings include Colombia, especially in light of specific information about the potential for attacks on Israelis providing security assistance to the Colombian government. High-level threats also have been issued for the Kashmir region, Mindanao in the Philippines, and parts of southern Thailand.

Here’s some background on Israel and Columbia, on how up to two million Columbians have been displaced from their lands as a result of the armed conflict there, which is ultimately over resources for transnational corporations, and how Israel “helps.” Oh and we “help” too.

Religious pretexts are obvious, such as the supposed “promised land” put forth by the Zionists in order to influence the international Christian community and justify (under “divine right”) the usurpation of Palestinian lands. In this case, for their [Colombian] brothers, the pretexts include the displacement and usurpation of lands belonging to Colombian farmers for the benefit of the Colombian oligarchy and the North American transnationals – something that cannot be of religious character, not to mention the absurdity in the paraphrase: “A land without people, for an oligarchy and transnationals without land.” No, this time, the justifications are different but the methods remain the same. For instance…

Click through to judicial-inc for the details.

But to get more specific to the reference in Haaretz, the Columbian government hired some Israeli military officers to help fight the FARC guerillas (ie: “terrorist” types who resist the rape of Columbia by the Columbian oligarchy and North American transnationals?). And these Israeli military officers are nothing but thugs and criminals surprise surprise.

This article is from September 2007 (excerpts):

Colombian Defense Minister Juan Manuel Santos has acknowledged that Bogota had quietly hired a group of former Israeli military officers to advise local defense officials on their counter-insurgency tactics against leftist Fuerza Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC) guerrillas, the Colombian daily Semana newspaper reported on 10 August….The Israeli advisors - reportedly consisting of three senior generals, a lower ranking officer, an unnamed Argentinean officer and three translators - were hired under a reported US$10 million contract by the Colombian Defense Ministry to advise on how to improve the army’s intelligence gathering capabilities. Santos reportedly approached former Israeli Foreign Minister Shlomo Ben Ami last year about the deal.

The Israeli group operates from Tolemaida in Cundinamarca Department, 240 kilometers from the capital Bogota, where the Colombian army runs its “Lancero” counterinsurgency-training course, with Colombian army instructors being assisted by US military personnel. The Israeli forces specialize in debriefing former guerrillas; previously, civil servants without specialized knowledge handled the interrogations, while the Israelis provide specialized interrogation techniques to improve the flow of intelligence from the de-briefings. But Deputy Defense Minister Sergio Jaramillo said the Israelis’ assistance was invaluable: “They are like psychoanalysts; they ask us the material questions and help us see all the problems we weren’t aware of before,” according a 10 August report from the Israeli news service Ynet.

Mmm hmm. I’m sure they perfected all their “special interrogation techniques” and how to “debrief guerillas” on Palestinians before bringing this “invaluable assistance” to the Columbian government. So whatever the “specific information about the potential for attacks on Israelis providing security assistance to the Columbian government” reported in Haaretz this week, as if it’s all completely innocent, it may have to do with the fact that Israelis have helped make Columbia a hell-hole for a couple million Columbians. And maybe some people in Columbia don’t like Israelis very much, and maybe they have damn good reasons for feeling this way.

Israel is now Colombia’s top weapons supplier, with the bulk of the armaments being used against FARC and another leftist group, the Ejercito de Liberacion Nacional (National Liberation Army or ELN). Israeli weaponry includes drones, light arms and ammunition, surveillance and communication systems and specialized bombs capable of destroying coca fields. The irony is that Colombia’s armed forces occasionally clash with right-wing paramilitaries and drug cartel gunmen trained in the late 1980s by rogue Israeli mercenaries, one of whom was detained in Russia earlier this week on an Interpol warrant. The news throws a most unwelcome spotlight on the Colombian government’s efforts to avail itself of Israeli expertise. In 1987, right-wing paramilitaries hired Israeli former Lieutenant Colonel reservist Yair Klein and members of his private “security” company Hod He’hanitin (Spearhead Ltd.) as advisors on the country’s leftist insurgency with tacit approval from the government of President Virgilio Barco Vargas.

Klein is wanted by Colombia’s law enforcement agencies after being convicted for training a terrorist group in 1990 - a group supported by Colombian drug dealers. The former Israeli army lieutenant colonel was convicted of terrorist activities and the training of gunmen from among local residents on territory not under the control of the official authorities.” Klein was a former paratrooper and commando in the Israeli Army who left military service in 1985. His involvement in Colombia’s interminable guerrilla war began in 1987 when Colombia’s former justice minister Jose Manuel Arias Carrizosa approached Israeli contacts. Carrizosa had been named president of the Asociacion de Bananeros de Colombia (AUGURA), and its members in Uniban, Colombia’s main banana and plantain export company, were looking for a way to cope with extortion by FARC guerrillas

….Over the next two years, Klein and his personnel trained right-wing vigilante paramilitaries belonging to affluent landowners, who would eventually become the nucleus of the Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia (AUC.) AUC quickly moved beyond its original intent of providing protection to wealthy landowners to becoming deeply involved in drug trafficking, and had support from elements in the army and the police, and Klein apparently shifted to providing expertise to the drug traffickers as well.

Hey expertise is expertise. With enough money you can buy all the expertise you need. But you know something, most experts are just mercenaries.

The only reason I point all this out today (because I’m no expert on this particular pail of worms) is due to the reference in Haaretz. Because if something happens to some Israelis in Columbia, for example, given that the Israeli Counter-Terrorism Bureau in the Prime Minister’s Office had some unspecified (wink wink) but nonetheless specific information, I just thought it would be useful to know what kind of Israelis have helped the Columbian government in the past before we have a hue and cry about the poor innocent victims, targets of anti-semitism. Oh yeah, and if something happens let’s not be too quick to blame it all on Hezbollah either, traveling all the way to Columbia to whack a couple of innocent Israelis. Give me a break. They could do that in their own back yard for pete’s sake, why go to the trouble to do it in Columbia? To *prove* what a dangerous world-wide terrorist organization they are and thus justify a war that oh by the way Israel wants? Hmm? A war that will get a bunch of innocent Lebanese civilians killed? Hmm? Cui bono? With a small investment of my personal time I now *know* that if I hear a narrative about Hezbollah striking Israelis in Columbia, it’s a big stinking pile of crap. It’s exactly such a narrative that only makes sense to people who have preconceived ideas like all Muslims are terrorists and Israel has every right to defend itself and Jews are always victims — in other words it only makes sense if you’ve been brainwashed into believing every talking point sponsored by the Jewish State.

The narrative sets up quickly. It’s not going to be too difficult to get millions of Americans who rely on corporate media believing that the Israelis have been victimized yet again, even if it makes no sense. But as soon as you peel back the lid a tiny bit you’ll find stuff like this. It’s so easy to poke holes in the official stories. So easy. If only people make a very small effort they will see that the corporate media lies. That doesn’t mean it’s easy to find the *truth* about what happened in any particular event, but a big part of the truth is simply understanding how much the media lies. Like with 9/11, it doesn’t matter so much which theory of 9/11 you subscribe to as long as you understand that the official story is a giant crock of shit. If you know that bin Laden has been dead for instance, you can immediately dismiss any so-called expert, military or otherwise, who still talks about capturing him as a liar. It’s a very simple process of elimination. If they lie about one thing, and something so important, they cannot be trusted. Period. Why bother? I mean, what does it mean to be an “expert” today? It means you have been compensated very well to have certain opinions, and they’re probably lies, at least some of them. The more ethical will insist on having *some* truth to tell, but the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth? Ha. Compromise is the name of the game.

People have to make a little personal effort. That’s what it takes to break free of the illusion, a little effort, a little desire for the truth. Nobody has been exempted from caring. We have to care, and by caring we find our way over the threshold, outside into the disinfecting sunlight. You might stagger and be blinded for a while but it passes. And we’re probably going to have another opportunity to go through this miserable terrorism narrative exercise very soon, and the sickening truth is that truly innocent people die every single day waiting for Americans to find their way to the door.

A Target Rich Environment

The options seem to be narrowing down to false flag. Israel will have No Choice. Well of course they do have other choices but they don’t like the other choices, so in order to arrive at the choice they prefer, which is war on Iran, they will have No Choice but to go with a false flag.

Why does Israel want a war with Iran? Because Iran threatens Israel’s hegemony, *financial* hegemony. And everything else flows from that. This article from November 2007 by Ellen Brown explains:

Usury is the practice of exalting money values over human and environmental values; of creating money at no cost and lending at rates of interest intended not to foster and maintain humanity or the ecosystem, but to

a) accumulate reserves of unearned income;

b) extract wealth from the productive sector in a manner that is parasitic;

c) extract wealth from those who lack wealth (the asset-less); and

d) make a claim on the future.

It is this debt scheme, with its lethal weapon of interest compounded annually, that has allowed a small clique of financiers to dominate the business of the world. In Tragedy and Hope, Professor Carroll Quigley, Bill Clinton’s mentor at Georgetown University, wrote from personal knowledge of this group, which he called “the international bankers.” He said their aim was “nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole,” a system “to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements.”99 The key to the bankers’ success was that they would control and manipulate the money systems of the world while letting them appear to be controlled by governments.

Iran was among the few nations to have escaped this global privatization scheme. Iran had its own oil. It managed to avoid the trap of letting its currency be devalued by speculators by imposing foreign exchange restrictions and price controls on its national currency (the rial), something it could afford to do because it had adequate foreign exchange reserves from its oil sales.12 Iran’s state-owned oil industry has allowed its economy to perform well, despite economic sanctions and rumors to the contrary.13 A “reformist” movement toward increased privatization ended in 2005, when Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was elected to the presidency. Ahmadinejad is a “populist” who has promised to redistribute Iranian oil wealth more expansively and has committed the government to funding public-sector projects and charitable investments.14

Islamic scholars have been seeking to devise a global banking system that would serve as an alternative to the usury-based scheme now in control internationally, and Iran has led the way in devising that model. Iran is characterized as a democratic Islamic republic, which enforces Islamic principles not only morally but legally and politically. The 1979 revolution overthrowing the American-backed Shah of Iran ended 2,500 years of monarchical rule. All domestic Iranian banks were then nationalized, and the government called for the establishment of an Islamic banking system that would replace interest payments with profit-sharing. Its state-owned central bank issues the national currency, with the “seigniorage” (the difference between the cost of producing money and its face value) accruing to the government rather than to private banks.15 The Iranian government is among the few to have very little foreign debt. It uses its state-owned banks to make loans and credits available to industrial and agricultural projects. The most unique feature of the banking system, however, is that it follows the Islamic proscription against usury. That means loans are made interest-free.16

Aaaand so forth. It’s about the money.

Now naturally, it’s rude to notice that, so it has to be about something else, and that’s where Iran’s nuclear-weapons program comes in so very handy. Except something has gone wrong there:

Iran is unlikely to be able to produce enough highly enriched uranium (HEU) for a nuclear weapon until at least 2013, according to a United States government intelligence estimate made public last Thursday.

…Many Iran analysts have called for the US to do nothing for the time being while the political situation within Iran develops - holding off on its planned engagement with Tehran while at the same time avoiding confrontational measures such as the imposition of additional sanctions.

But hawks in the US and Israel have argued that there is no time to spare in dealing with the Iranian nuclear program, and that the US should quickly move to sanctions targeting Iran’s refined petroleum imports if engagement does not bear fruit by the end of September.

There has also been a great deal of speculation about whether Israel would undertake a unilateral military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities if it is not satisfied with the progress of negotiations - Israeli leaders have refused to rule out the possibility.

The INR estimate, which comes on the heels of other estimates suggesting that Iran is years away from a nuclear capability, may serve to defuse the crisis atmosphere that has come to characterize discussion of the issue in Washington and Jerusalem, and bolster those calling for patience in dealing with Tehran.

Blair’s testimony to the senate, in which the estimate appeared, was released in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by Steven Aftergood of the Federation of American Scientists (FAS), and published by Aftergood on the FAS website on Thursday.

This is an excellent article which goes on to describe the political pressure and manipulation exerted by Israel and her flunkies in the US, people like the notorious nutjob warmonger John Bolton, who makes breathless statements like this on Fox News:

Last Tuesday, former US ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton appeared on Fox News, citing the Times report in suggesting that “pressure [is] building” on Israel to strike Iranian nuclear facilities.

Bolton warned that “we are so close to Iran actually getting a weapon that these fine calibrations that we have got six months, or eight months, or 10 months, all you have to do is be wrong by one day” for the US and Israeli strategic calculus to change dramatically.

So you see, even though you have to go to the Asia Times rather than the New York Times or the Wall Street Journal to find out this very important news, as this is not moving toward the option that Israel wants to move toward which is to bomb the shit out of Iran and therefore they don’t want the American public aware of it, you can see that this development poses a Big Problem for Israel. Because *some* people, nonetheless, will find out.

That’s going to push things toward a false flag. The victim card will need to be played, and of course the harvest ripens by the day what with all the “anti-semitism” whipped up by the FBI sting in New Jersey and the general increasing awareness among the goyim of How The World Really Works.

In Lebanon, it’s reported that the Russians helped Hezbollah smash Israeli spy rings, another ominous development.

The sources told DEBKAfile last week that the FSB and Hizbullah have “amassed quantities of undisclosed data” on Israel’s clandestine operations in Lebanon and “are holding it in reserve in order to leak spectacular discoveries as and when it suits their purpose.”

“This disclosure, if borne out, would indicate that the Russian agency, which specializes in counterespionage, is engaged for the first time in anti-Israel activity in the service of an Arab terrorist organization,” DEBKAfile said.

An Israeli security source described this turn of events extremely grave, Debkafile reported. It also cast an ominous slant on Moscow’s deepening strategic involvement in Syria.

And on top of that Hezbollah’s Executive Council Chief Hashem Safiyyeddine makes the most outrageous statements you can possibly imagine about Israel.

“If Barak’s threats were serious, though I don’t think they were, he should be aware that if he commits an error or stupid act against Lebanon… he will discover that the months of July and August 2006 were just a bit of fun.”……“Based on the fact that we are strong today and we have been living on the formula and the victory of the 2006 war, we believe that all of the Israeli threats are hollow and meaningless,” Safiyyeddine said.

Safiyyeddine added that all Israeli schemes against the resistance and all the United States’ political projects to curb the resistance and take vengeance on it have failed, adding that there is no need to be worried. Moreover, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri ruled out any possible attack by the Jewish State on Lebanon this year, saying Israeli threats are part of media and psychological warfare against the country. Berri told As-Safir newspaper on Monday that he believed Israel would not launch war on Lebanon in 2009, unless an uncalculated dramatic event takes place.

That would be the false flag. That’s the only move Israel has left, and everybody knows it. So you take that knowledge and look at what they report in Haaretz, for instance. The IOF acts provocatively moving toward Shaba Farms, a sensitive area between Israel, Lebanon and Syria. Bibi denies any tension but pre-emptively blames anything that might possibly go wrong on Lebanon and Hezbollah. The Israeli foreign minister starts squawking about any Israeli anywhere at any time who has even one hair on his or her head disturbed will trigger war, and by the way that will be Lebanon’s fault because they have the nerve to set up defenses against Israel, and the Israelis just *know* that Hezbollah is ready to avenge the death of Imad Mughniyeh which happened 18 months ago and Israel denies that they had anything to do with it but still, they’re just SURE that Hezbollah will take revenge for that any minute now, especially since they’re embarassed over the munitions explosion that they *also* blame on Israel but Israel had nothing to do with that either. You know, somebody is going to get hurt.

According to Defense Ministry warnings, tourists and Israeli representatives abroad are thought to be likely targets. A bomb attack on Israel’s embassy in Baku was foiled by Azerbaijani security forces in 2008.

Other comments by Israeli officials, including a senior commander in the Israel Defense Forces’ Northern Command, who told The Times of London last week that the northern border “could explode at any minute,” appear to indicate that Israel was preparing for a scenario in which a Hezbollah attack against an Israeli target abroad provokes a forceful Israeli reaction and, possibly, a new war.

Defense sources said, however, they believed the Hezbollah would try and calibrate an attack that, while effective, will not be able to serve as a casus belli. They noted the organization has not yet recovered from damages suffered in the war in 2006.

…Despite the warnings, some 330,000 Israelis departed the country for holidays abroad in the first week of August, while hundreds of thousands more are expected to leave during the holiday season of September-October. Most Israeli tourists will be traveling to Western Europe, North America and the Far East. The most popular destinations are Turkey, France, Germany and Italy.

Tourism industry sources also indicated a recovery of travel to Sinai. The first week of August saw 40,000 Israelis passing through the Taba crossing to the peninsula and onward to Egypt. Last year, 50,000 travelers passed through the crossing during the entire month.

>Ofer Heilig, of Nofar travel agents, also reported increased interest in proper hotels in Sinai, which appear to be replacing the traditional beach huts. “We’ve learned from experience, all of us - Egyptians and Israelis. There’s an extremely high level of security in the hotels today. You can’t even come close to any of them in private vehicles,” he said. “Also, Israelis booked at hotels are taken by special shuttles to their destinations, accompanied by security guards.”

Look at all those juicy, innocent Israeli targets, just waiting for “Hezbollah” to strike a hair on their head while they vacation in the Sinai, or in Western Europe, or North America, or the Far East, or Turkey or France or Germany or Italy. Something could happen anywhere and you’ll see, no matter what the confusion it will be just like 9/11 and the narrative will start immediately about who is to blame, and the second you hear “The News” you should know that it’s all a Damn Lie designed to start another war for Israel.

The Counter-Terrorism Bureau also recommends deferring unessential travel to Kenya (especially coastal areas), Bangladesh, Nigeria and Tajikistan.

Despite the warnings, Israeli tour operators are organizing trips to Jordan, Morocco and Kenya, as well as other countries where the threat is deemed high. Arkia Airlines is offering a safari package to Kenya and Uganda. Organized groups and individual Israelis visit Morocco regularly.

Israelis abroad are advised to refuse offers from unknown or suspicious individuals, and to refuse unanticipated invitations to isolated locations. They should meet with foreigners only in the company of other trusted individuals, and not allow unknown or suspicious individuals to enter their hotel rooms. Those abroad for extended periods are advised to vary their routines and change hotels.

The warning about an attack by Hezbollah, supposedly as revenge for the assassination of Imad Mughniyeh in Damascus, comes despite the fact that Israel never has admitted to being behind the killing. Israeli businesspeople, particularly those with contacts in Arab or Muslim countries, are believed to be at greater risk.

Details regarding advisories, including information about travel warnings for specific countries, are available at the Counter-Terrorism Bureau’s Web site, www.nsc.gov.il (in Hebrew).

Relentless

Scouring the news this morning, the war drums against Iran and Lebanon seem quite deafening. No evidence mind you, just the usual mind-numbing hysteria.

It’s very important to note at this juncture how the media plants and links certain ideas to manipulate public opinion.

Here, for one thing, are two related stories about Iran. Hillary Clinton was on CNN admitting to the US working ‘behind the scenes’ to support the election protesters in Iran. Now someone paying attention knows she’s admitting to psyops, but she applies the spin carefully:

“We did not want to get between the legitimate protests and demonstrations of the Iranian people and the leadership,” Clinton said in an interview with CNN broadcast on Sunday.“And we knew that if we stepped in too soon, too hard… the leadership would try to use us to unify the country against the protestors.”

“Now, behind the scenes, we were doing a lot,” Clinton said. “We were doing a lot to really empower the protestors without getting in the way. And we’re continuing to speak out and support the opposition.”

No no, we would never interfere. Don’t be ridiculous. It’s just that the Iranian regime, it’s just so awful, we had to do something but honestly, it was all done with the utmost care and respect for the Iranian people. We did a lot ‘behind the scenes’ that’s all, trying to support the opposition. Mmm hmm.

Still banging on that drum about the Iranian election, demonizing the regime in Iran, etc. (Also see my last post about the Congressional Republican trip to Israel and the hysterical language used by Eric Cantor, who by the way is practically the lone Jew fighting for Israel in the entire US government apparatus.) Anyway, this is an important theme, to keep this Iranian election controversy and demonization of Ahmadinejad (psyops) alive, because it very easily segues into the nuclear weapon program, and that leads to Israel being threatened and having to defend itself, etc. It’s all connected. They don’t even have to say it they just put out a piece here and another piece there, and the vision forms in people’s heads like sugar plums.

“It demonstrates, I think, better than any of us could ever say, that this Iranian leadership is afraid of their own people, and afraid of the truth and the facts coming out,” Clinton said. The secretary of state reiterated that the United States believes it would be “unacceptable” for Iran to obtain nuclear weapons.

“If they believe that this would give them a more secure position, a greater capacity to influence events, to intimidate their neighbors, to expand the reach of their ideology, they were mistaken,” she said. “We do not intend to accept nuclear weapons by Iran.”

Right-o, Hillary.

Meanwhile, The Jerusalem Post reports that lawyers defending some of these protesters have been killed by the evil Iranian regime.

Seven lawyers representing young Iranians being held for protesting the recent presidential election have been killed, The Jerusalem Post reported on Friday…According to the sources, some family members were sentenced to three-year prison terms for “disrupting security” and “encouraging unethical actions” against the [EVIL!! - ed.] Iranian regime. Three of the attorneys had been beaten to death, their swollen faces barely recognizable by their families. The other two lawyers, who were well known in the community, were executed for alleged drug possesion.

How do we know the Iranian regime killed these lawyers? Because the Jerusalem Post says so, silly! What more proof do you need? And conveniently, the story segues into doubts about the legitimacy of the Iranian election. The White House spokesman had to make those doubts clearer just last week.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs qualified a statement he’d made at a Tuesday press conference. Gibbs had been asked if the White House considered Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the legitimate president of Iran, to which he responded, “He’s the elected leader.” On Wednesday, he told reporters aboard Air Force One that he wanted to “correct a little bit of what I said yesterday. I denoted that Mr. Ahmadinejad was the elected leader of Iran. I would say it’s not for me to pass judgement on [that]. “He’s been inaugurated, that’s a fact. Whether the election was fair, obviously the Iranian people still have questions about that and we’ll let them decide that. I would simply say he’s been inaugurated and we know that is simply a fact,” the White House spokesman said. “It’s not for me or for us to denote his legitimacy, expect to acknowledge the fact,” Gibbs concluded.

Keeping the controversy alive….

Moving on, a retired USAF general, a Charles Weld, delivered a bunch of Israeli talking points about Iran via an editorial in the Wall Street Journal.

“A peaceful resolution of the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear ambitions would certainly be the best possible outcome,” Wald wrote in an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal. “But should diplomacy and economic pressure fail, a US military strike against Iran is a technically feasible and credible option,” he said.

…President Barack Obama, meanwhile, has sought to engage Iran diplomatically, but prospects of a breakthrough have been clouded by political turmoil in Iran over President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad’s disputed re-election.

Yes. On the one hand we have people like Hillary Clinton and the White House spokesman keeping the controversy alive over Ahmadinejad’s election, and then on the other hand we have a retired general bemoaning the fact that this very continued controversy dims the prospect of a diplomatic breakthrough. It’s as if they want diplomacy to fail, hmm?

But listen, not to worry! The retired general has even more visions of sugar plums to dance in your heads!

“Many policy makers and journalists dismiss the military option on the basis of a false sense of futility,” Wald wrote. “They assume that the US military is already overstretched, that we lack adequate intelligence about the location of covert nuclear sites, and that known sites are too heavily fortified,” he said. “Such assumptions are false,” he said.

According to the AFP report on this WSJ op ed, Wald goes totally off the reservation with regards to the Pentagon and the State Department, and he seems to subscribe to some super high stakes fairy tale idea that this should be handled kind of like the Cuban missile crisis and it will all work out just swell, don’t worry kids, and the bottom line is a solid gold greatest hits Israeli talking point:

“But the risks of military action must be weighed against those of doing nothing,” he said.

Right. We have No Choice, see? Over and over and over again you will see this No Choice argument lurking in the shadows. The options get narrowed down, magically, until there’s just the one they want you to pick, the one we’re all forced to pick because there’s No Choice.

And that’s just all the Iran side of the problem. There’s a whole other sideshow going on with Lebanon and Hezbollah, and Israel getting ready to blame Lebanon and Hezbollah for something, some hair on some Israeli’s head getting harmed, which will allow at long last the war on Iran to get started.

Israel will hold Iranian proxy militia Hizbullah and the state of Lebanon responsible for any attempt to assassinate Israelis abroad, and it will retaliate, Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon said Sunday.

An Egyptian newspaper Saturday reported that three terrorists linked to Al Qaeda were arrested before they carried out a plot to assassinate Israel’s ambassador to Cairo, Shalom Cohen. But Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon said that Hizbulah was “certainly” the group behind the plot. Speaking on Voice of Israel government radio, Ayalon warned: “I have one message here: If, God forbid, one hair falls off the head of any Israeli representative abroad, or of even an Israeli who is not an official representative, tourists, etc., we will consider Hizbullah responsible. “The outcome, for Hizbullah, will, I think, be of the utmost gravity,” Ayalon said. “For Lebanon too.”

“It is important … to relay this warning to Lebanon, which is responsible for Hizbullah — that they will suffer the consequences if they carry out assassinations of Israelis,” the minister from the Israel Our Home party added.

They just make a pronouncement like that, linking Hezbollah directly to Lebanon, and very simply grant themselves permission to do whatever they please to Lebanon. The trigger will be some Israeli getting hurt.

Ayalon did not give a direct answer when he was asked how Israel knows that Hizbullah and not Al Qaeda was behind the plot. “I don’t want to get into the intelligence or operational issues here,” he said, “but certainly there is both an ideological connection and a professional connection of sorts here.”

No, no of course not. We don’t give away trade secrets like how the intelligence works, you just take their word for it. They’re totally treacherous. Israel could easily take someone out, an Israeli, sacrifice one for the team, blame it on Hezbollah and now that they’ve laid out this little line of reasoning here all they have to do is fulfill the prophesy with an assassination attempt. It wouldn’t even necessarily have to work.

“If Hizbullah joins the government it will be clear that the Lebanese government will be held responsible for any attack coming from its territory against Israel,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

The bar is low. Bibi just makes a statement like this, and then all that has to happen is for an attack to come from Lebanese territory against Israel. That would be easy to arrange.

Here’s Damian Lataan to wrap it up with the concluding thoughts:

Israel seems determined to provoke its enemies hook or by crook in order to get a war going against Iran. If they’re not continually directly accusing Iran of having a nuclear weapons program – despite the total lack of any evidence to even suggest Iran has any nuclear weapons program – then Israel is accusing Hezbollah of wanting to attack Israelis and Israeli interests outside of Israel warning that, if any Israeli is harmed, Hezbollah will be held responsible. Just to help the provocation along, Israel is also still sending their military jets into sovereign Lebanese airspace. In their latest piece of warmongering chutzpah, Israel is accusing Hezbollah of stockpiling rockets in order to strike Israel. The ploy here is to use this as some sort of casus belli to attack Lebanon in the hope of dragging Iran into the fray – and then, of course, the US.

The irony is, if Hezbollah should get in first and attack Israel using Israel’s stockpiling of fuel and weapons from the US as a casus belli, the West would jump up and down in outrage, yet, if Israel attacks Hezbollah, all we hear about is how Israel is defending itself.

Israel has twice unsuccessfully attempted to invade and occupy Lebanon in order to secure control of the Litani River headwaters for its own use. It has failed in the past but they are determined. They hope that, with enough ‘provocation’, the West will this time turn a blind eye to their invasion and occupation of south Lebanon. And, while they’re at it, they’ll do the same to Hamas in the Gaza using the main event, their attack against Iran, as cover for the complete occupation of the Gaza, the West Bank and south Lebanon.

In order for the West to turn a blind eye to such an Israeli onslaught, Israel will have to ensure that any act of ‘terrorism’ against Israel or Israelis is really horrendous enough to make it worth while.

The world should prepare itself for an outrageous ‘false flag’ act of ‘terrorism’ from ‘Hezbollah’ at any moment.

Lots of meetings going on

Brother Nathanael has a scathing rundown of an AIPAC all expenses paid junket to Israel for 25 congressional republicans, and it’s well worth clicking through. Lots of links. Bring a bucket.

“We are concerned about the focus being placed on settlement growth when the real issue is the existential threat that Israel faces from Iran. We do not support the decision by the Obama administration to engage with the terrorist regime in Tehran.” - Representative Eric Cantor, the “Only Jewish Republican in National US Politics” [ !!! OMG THE POOR JEWISH PEOPLE!!! HOW ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO DEFEND THEMSELVES WHEN THEY ONLY HAVE ONE JEWISH REPUBLICAN REPRESENTATIVE IN NATIONAL US POLITICS??!!??!!! PEOPLE DO YOU SEE THE PROBLEM?!!!!?? ]

No really, it really did say that, and it’s not The Onion, look…

WASHINGTON (AFP) - One of President Barack Obama’s top congressional critics said Friday he hoped to reassure staunch US ally Israel of unbending US support during a visit to the Middle East next week.

Representative Eric Cantor, the only Jewish Republican in national US politics, said he worried Obama has pressured Israel too much and demanded too little from the Palestinians in return and not done enough to confront Iran.

“We are very concerned about the direction we see this administration heading in as far as the US-Israel relationship,” Cantor, his party’s number two leader in the House of Representatives, told AFP by telephone.

Cantor will lead a delegation of 25 Republican lawmakers to Israel and Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas’ Ramallah headquarters for a week-long visit that opens Sunday.

“The purpose of the trip is to introduce to many members of Congress — 25 of us are going — to the challenges on the ground in the Middle East, especially those challenges faced by Israel,” said the Virginia lawmaker.

The delegation is expected to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel President Shimon Peres, and other senior Israeli officials, as well as top Palestinians in Ramallah.

House Democratic Majority Leader Steny Hoyer is expected to follow Cantor later in the month-long congressional August recess with a delegation of about 35 Democrats.

Cantor said the Obama administration was wrong to demand Israel stop all settlement activity in the occupied West Bank including annexed east Jerusalem, which has drawn condemnation

“We are very concerned about the attention being given, and focus being placed, on settlements and settlement growth when the real threat is the existential threat that Israel faces from Iran, and the impending nuclearization of Iran,” he said.

“We are also concerned about the emphasis on seeking concessions from Israel without a simultaneous effort to get concessions from the Palestinians,” said Cantor.

Asked about his meetings with Palestinian officials, Cantor said: “We in the United States feel very strongly about doing all we can to help the lives of Palestinians as well as Israelis, help achieve security and peace for both, predicated on recognition by all of Israel’s right to exist.”

But he added that insistence that Israel return lands it has occupied since the 1967 Six-Day war and accept a “right of return” of Palestinians who fled their homes in what is now Israel “is just like saying you don’t accept the historical right of Israel to exist.”

And Cantor said he would push the Palestinians for “the continued rejection of terrorism, and of course the rejection of the demonization of Israel that continues.”

On Iran, Cantor underlined that “many of us did not support the decision (by the Obama administration) to engage with the terrorist regime in Tehran.”

“But now that that is policy we want to do all we can to apply pressure, through economic means, to send the message to Iran that there will be consequences” for not halting suspect nuclear work, he said.

Cantor and Hoyer’s trips will reportedly be underwritten by the American Israel Education Foundation, a charitable organization affiliated with the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

What an ass. Anyway, you should also be aware, via DEBKAfile, another site for Hot Jewish News, that some other important meetings have taken place since the Congressional Republicans led by Jew Eric Cantor went to Israel to express their support for whatever Israel wants.

DEBKAfile reports the Hamas delegation headed by Dr. Mahmoud a-Zahar exited Gaza through the Rafah crossing Saturday Aug. 8. Egyptian intelligence officers escorted them on their journey to Cairo for urgent consultations on an undisclosed subject. The Hamas leaders may proceed next to Damascus to confer with politburo chief Khaled Meshaal.

Friday, prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his security cabinet of six ministers were briefed on Middle East developments at a special session. DEBKAfile’s military sources report that an unusually variety of security officials attended the meeting.

They included the chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Gaby Ashkenazi, military intelligence chief Brig. Amos Yadlin, Mossad director Meir Dagan, Shin Bet chief Yuval Diskin, OC Southern Command Brig. Yoav Galant and several more senior officers.

What a racket

Hey, wouldn’t it be great to just invent a product that is pretty much indistinguishable from some other product already on the market but just convince everyone that your product is new and improved and then make people spend BILLIONS of dollars on your product? If anyone says hey your product is exactly the same as this other product you could say pfft, shut up and give me your money. It is whatever we say it is. What do you think we count this stuff? WE ONLY COUNT THE MONEY.

via Jane Burgermeister:

According to MSNBC, the CDC has found that rapid tests to diagnose the “swine flu” can be wrong as much as nine times out of ten. The “best” test was wrong half the time, the CDC found.

The government study indicating that rapid tests to diagnose the “swine flu” could hardly distinguish between the “swine flu” and normal seasonal flu gives support to those medical experts who say the “swine flu” is a harmless, ordinary flu that is being hyped by the WHO and the vaccine companies to justify a pandemic level 6 declaration and mass forced vaccinations.

The CDC checked the efficiency of rapid tests made by three companies. The tests correctly confirmed swine flu infections only 10 percent to 51 percent of the time, and the tests were better at diagnosing seasonal flu.

So they decided to stop counting. Yup. Check out the spin:

Citing the widespread nature of the H1N1 swine flu virus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced on Friday their intention to cease keeping a running count of the dead.

In a decision that may complicate how the American public gets information on the lethality of the H1N1 swine flu virus - particularly during the upcoming flu season - the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced on Friday that they will no longer track deaths caused by the swine flu virus. The official CDC toll in the U.S. will remain 302 dead. Health officials from the CDC said the virus was too widespread to continue counting. The most recent confirmed figures of H1N1 activity in the U.S. from the CDC are 43,771 cases - with 302 confirmed deaths. The H1N1 swine flu pandemic has infected people in 160 countries and has killed more than 800 people worldwide. Vaccine manufacturers are racing to produce doses that meet the demands of governments worldwide. “Health experts say millions have likely been infected worldwide, but doctors can only test a fraction of suspected cases,” Reuters reported. “Flu tests are expensive and unreliable and confirming H1N1 swine flu is difficult.”

Lost episode from The Andy Griffith Show

Oh, wow. So, um, if Andy Griffith says the sheriff’s department ran out of money and he has No Choice but to call in the National Guard to keep people safe, like that would be ok right?

"Making vaccine the keystone of any effort to prevent illness and save lives"

Maybe Janet should go have a gypsy read the tarot cards so she can give us even better predictions. Like for instance, what are they going to do to us when we start refusing the vaccine? That would be useful to know from the Department of Homeland Security.

U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano asserted Tuesday that pandemic flu is likely to flare up soon after schools open in the fall, well before any vaccine is available.

How on *earth* does she know this????

Napolitano also acknowledged that there would not be enough pandemic flu vaccine for everyone, at least in the early stages of the flu season. “There will be prioritization of vaccinations,” she told members of the USA TODAY editorial board.

The flu strain causing the pandemic, a new strain of H1N1 flu that is also known as swine flu, is especially dangerous because it is genetically different from virtually every other known flu virus. As a result, most people are defenseless against it — making vaccine the keystone of any effort to prevent illness and save lives.

OK it doesn’t get much more obvious than this. Ahem. The vaccine is genetically different from virtually every other known flu virus because IT WAS MADE THAT WAY ON PURPOSE IN A LABORATORY. (Oops! Steve Sternberg somehow forgot to mention that in his story for USA Today. Maybe he doesn’t read on the internet and never heard about Baxter and Jane Burgermeister’s lawsuit, but I’m sure he’s a great reporter because he has a job with a big newspaper.) Anyway… As A Result of the vaccine being genetically different from virtually every other known flu virus, (WINK WINK WINK), vaccines are KEY! to saving lives. That was the Whole Point!!!!

Napolitano said the flu epidemic is likely to be severe, but not as severe as the 1918 pandemic, the world’s worst. In 1918, flu killed at least 675,000 people in the USA and up to 50 million worldwide. She said it’s more likely that the pandemic would mirror 1957, when flu killed about 70,000 people in the USA and more than one million people worldwide, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That’s about twice the death toll of seasonal flu, which annually kills about 36,000 people and results in 200,000 hospitalizations.

Again, how on *earth* do they know this????

Napolitano’s statement that flu vaccine will be provided first to certain high risk groups indicates that the Obama administration accepts the consensus now established among public health experts inside of government and elsewhere.

Last week, a panel of experts advised the CDC that the first vaccinations should go to pregnant women; parents and contacts of children younger than six months; health care workers; all children and young adults and all non-elderly adults with chronic medical conditions.

The government has ordered 195 million doses of swine flu vaccine from five manufacturers, along with immune boosters called adjuvants that may be needed to ramp up the vaccine’s potency. So far, the federal government has spent about $1 billion on pandemic flu vaccine, with an additional $350 million disbursed to states, territories and hospitals for more vaccine purchases and to build surge capacity in emergency rooms and intensive care units.

Oh, it all sounds so reasonable, doesn’t it? That’s exactly the point. That’s why it’s psyops.

It’s Rude to Notice

I set up another blog in case “something happens” to my blogs, this one or After Armageddon News. I also have Twelfth Bough on wordpress, though it has not been updated in months.

Update: Over at Goon Squad you can read the comments and reactions to Kenny’s Sideshow being scrubbed from the web. Kenny provided a hub. I don’t know what he had for traffic but his site worked and he has a great eye for story. It’s good to see the awareness and many ideas people have to circumvent censorship. As explained in Political Ponerology, many small acts of non-compliance by ordinary people will reliably disrupt evil.

Update: The mind-fucking never ceases! Kenny’s back up which is great. Of course, just a big black hole of confusion about what happened. I mean, it’s not like one should expect a busy website going missing and reappearing after a few days as being worthy of an explanation from a giant company like google/blogger. Why would they owe him an explanation? After all blogger is “free” as we all know. We’re “free” to use it and in exchange google/blogger is “free” to treat the content however they want. It does feel very much like being in a science laboratory accept we’re not the scientists but rather the microbes but hey. That’s life in the New World Order. But it’s rude to notice or you’ll attract some fucking little half-wit trolls defending the establishment that pays them and telling you to invent your own internet. Good times.

Full of fanatics

Somewhat more detailed information about the Jewish fanatics at al-Aqsa Mosque.

More than 200 Jewish fanatics on Wednesday morning stormed the holy Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem and offered Talmudic rituals on the anniversary of the so-called destruction of the temple.

The Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage said in a statement that the Jews spread in various areas of the holy compound and roamed its plazas while performing those rituals under the full protection of Israeli occupation police.

Uh huh. I see.

These Jewish “fanatics” appear to have plenty of support.

RAMALLAH: A news survey conducted by the Israeli Ynet news service and the Gesher organization found that about two thirds of the Israeli public want the Second Temple rebuilt. Gesher claims a 4.6 margin of error on a survey of 516 Israelis.

The Temple Mount, which is the foundation of the First and Second temples is today home to Islam’s third-holiest mosque, Al-Aqsa. The Second Temple, built by Herod the Great, was destroyed in 70 A.D. when the Romans sacked Jerusalem.

Sixty-four percent responded favorably to the question of rebuilding the temple commissioned by Herod the Great, while 36 percent responded negatively.

Among the practicing and orthodox Jewish Israelis, virtually all respondents wanted to see the Second Temple rebuilt.

Just under half of secular Israelis — 47 percent — also said they would like to see Herod’s Temple rebuilt.

Eighty percent of respondents said it was “justified” to mark what many Jews consider the saddest day of their history (the destruction of the temple) by rebuilding the temple.

The deputy chief of the Islamic Movement inside Israel Sheikh Kamal Al-Khatib asserted that the temple would never be rebuilt.

“If the Jews think that their mourning will end and they will rejoice by destroying Al-Aqsa Mosque and building their temple, we say to them that their dream will not be fulfilled and they will continue to mourn,” he told Arab News yesterday. “Al-Aqsa is for Muslims only.”

Control over Jerusalem, which Israel captured during the June 1967 War, has been seen as the most sensitive and thorniest issue of Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The Palestinians are seeking to set up a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, including Palestinian sovereignty over the city’s holy sites on the Temple Mount.

But the Jewish state says the city is its eternal capital.

The United States also supports this policy. US President Barack Obama stated publicly last year that he does not support a divided Jerusalem.

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said recently: “The three major religions of the world exist in peace, have access to all their sites, only because Jerusalem is united and under Israeli rule.”

And there’s all this secrecy about the tunnels.

The Silwan project has aroused similar suspicions, in part because people are not allowed to see the tunnel, but primarily because the work is being funded by the Ir David Foundation, an Israeli settler group.

…”If it is an archaeological site and not a settlement, if it is a tourist site, then why can’t we go and see it? Why can’t anyone see it?” Ahmed Qarain, 37, a local resident asks.

The IAA has refused to allow anyone from the neighborhood or the media to see the northern section of the tunnel, and declined several requests from AFP to comment on how much of it has been excavated.

Officials there gave no reason for the ban, other than to say the work was in progress. However, they promised that the media would be invited once the project is completed. [wink wink wink!]

…”This is the most important place in the world for the Jewish people. We have been waiting for 2,000 years to come back to this area,” says Doron Spielman, a senior foundation executive.

…”You start wondering what is happening when they change the names of places,” Qarain says. “This is Silwan, but they call it Ir David. We know this street as Wadi Helwa Siyam, but they put up signs calling it Maale David.”

Fanatic settlers digging secret tunnels under the mosque and storming the premises to conduct Talmudic rituals under the protection of the IOF and with the support of two thirds of the Israeli public!??!! As part of a nefarious plot to control Jerusalem and all of Israel and actually, the world?!?!?

Inconceivable.
