The reality was that the Administration wasn't even going to force Israel to accept a ceasefire had Condi voted FOR the resolution for one reason: this time, they were determined to see Hamas finished off. Two: when the war is over, we will find that a full 75 percent of Palestinian casualties were Hamas soldiers. You're starting to hear this come out, slowly, in the Palestinian press and you'll see this in the after action reports in the Pentagon academic journals. The IDF have performed superbly in this war, and it is in our interest (and Egypt's) to let them finish off as much of Hamas as possible. Hamas never, ever expected the IDF to fight so ferociously. They have been given the beating of their lives, and Iran a bloody nose. Oh, one last thing will come out. Obama knew about the offensive and gave it his green light. That's a huge secret.
